Kyogo Furuhashi

We got goals from alot of different positions on the park. Kyogo possibly being out is a blow but not catastrophic as some on here are implying.

 

He’s had issues with that shoulder a couple of times already, lucky if he weighs 10 stone though so always going to be susceptible to impact injuries.

 

Injured his shoulder v huns and was on the bench 4 days later v Madrid. Hopefully similar recovery time again

 

The reason we’ve got a strong squad is for moments like this. If he’s out then I’m confident whoever steps in will do a job

 

Swap deal with Eddie coming back

Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League club are in the market for multiple forward signings in the summer as they brace for the exit of star man Wilfried Zaha.

Celtic are scouting potential targets and one of those is Furuhashi, 28, who is making such a big impact in Glasgow.





The striker is idolised at Parkhead, where he has scored 42 goals from just 66 matches in all competitions, including 22 goals this season.

Furuhashi joined Celtic on a four-year contract in 2021 and will have another two years left on his deal in the summer.

Interest from down south could trigger the Scottish giants into offering an extension to one of their outstanding players.


Another former Celtic star signed for Palace in 2021, when Odsonne Edouard joined for a fee of around £15million.

The former Parkhead talisman has made 20 Premier League appearances for Patrick Vieira’s side this season.

He has scored three goals and provided two assists in those outings.

In Kyogo’s 23 league appearances this season he has scored 19 goals and provided two assists.




The Hoops will be desperate to keep hold of Furuhashi, who is currently top scorer in the Scottish Premiership.

Speaking to CelticTV (9 February), the striker said that if him or any of his Celtic teammates score, it makes him “really happy” and insisted it is important to show that to the fans.

I know games against Rangers are difficult to debut in, but Johnston did it- and it's harder for a defender to debut in a game like that. Oh's mistakes will at worst mean we don't score. It only takes one goal from several chances to make a striker contribute. And Oh can score.

Seems mental to me. He's apparently ok and was fine game after the huns. He must've got a bad one in Japan and then it's been mentally with him..

He must of dislocated it before, leaves very susceptible to happening again or even just pinching a nerve. Guessing it would need surgery to sort and that would be a lengthy time out for a shoulder.

 

I used to play football with a guy who dislocated his shoulder years ago and he still has problems to this day. He also had major surgery but it never really helped. Hopefully the wee man's problem isn't as bad as my mate's

 

In fairness from where I was sitting the 2 St Mirren players did a number on him. Couldn't believe the Hun ref didn't stop play.

We don't really have players that are built for that sort of treatment other than CCV, Johnston and Ralston. Jota was another one who was taking a bit of a pasting without knowing how to handle it.

 

Mate I boxed took an uppercut into my armpit and dislocated my arm and it happens all the time now one time I was pulling a trolley in work and it popped out it's usually easy to put back in could see him telling Jota the motion bring you hand to your chin then out to your side but after as you say it can be tender with the nerves etc should be fine
