    I find it bizarre that he isn't on penalties considering we've had so many previously miss. Would add to his goal tally and confidence. He used to take them for Vissel Kobe

    Really sharp tonight. Constantly on his toes and head whipping around seeing where everything is around him to find those runs. Said it before but the work ethic and skill of the Japanese bhoys has impressed me so much since they came in.

    The work ethic is the key thing for me. The Japanese are famous for it and it can only benefit us that we now have 4 or 5 guys who will always give 100% in matches and training and it's ingrained in them to do it.

    Fantastic culture in the squad just now.

    Selfless, humble and respectful to the opposition we would often rather see suffer.

    Maybe we should all convert to Shintoism and Buddhism?

    The goals were obviously outstanding, but his general play, closing down and workrate were something else. When they had a early free kick and played it down the channel, he recognised the danger and tracked the runner all the way out for a goal kick.
