    He is no doubt lacking confidence, however he misses too many chances even when he was on top form. Its a concerning trend, the position he played last night will do him no favours either.

    The big greek has the jersey for me at the minute, he doesn’t need 4 or 5 chances before he grabs a goal. Even at that we don’t play to his strengths either, cross the * ball :31:

    On his day he is the best mover and finsher at the club. That doesnt change overnight.

    He is low on confidence and a goal or two will give him a lift. Needs to be more ruthless in his approach. Goes down too easily and too eager to be sportsmanlike.

    Thought he had a decent game minus the tame shot tbh. Felt like we actually missed him when he went off.

    But GG is definitely the man up top the now though. He was excellent last night.

    The poor finish from him last night is always a sign of a player low in confidence - Ange rates him very highly and expected great things from him in the Champions League; that unfortunately did not happen

    We’ve had a stinker of a UCL campaign as a whole squad this season. The tournament clearly got in our heads a bit and we were woefully underprepared as a defensive unit.

    I saw early signs against Shakhtar that we had been working more on our defensive unit so I have some hope for next season.

    But I think it’s unfair to lay it all on Kyogo. He’* a rough patch of form and is taking a lot of flak for some misses in the UCL. We should encourage him through it and have a great domestic campaign. We’ll be back next year.

    He has still scored 8 goals in 10 at domestic level this season, scoring every 78 minutes in the league. I don't think he has dropped off a cliff like many seem to believe. I'll be shocked if he scores under 25 goals this season. We maybe noticed his goals alot more last season as during the first half last season he was our main goal scorer and something we didn't have the previous season. This season we have 2 strikers doing well plus several wingers chucking goals in.
