    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Running around chasing shadows and nae confidence going forward.

need him to find form - quickly. He is critical to us hoping to win the league over the next months to come.

He is one of a few not themselves at present.

I’m at stage now hoping we can preserve a lead in league ahead of World Cup and reevaluate / take time to get fitness back and give the team a chance to restart. Kyogo most importantly.

I don’t know if it's his lengthy hammy injury from last season that's took a bit off him physically or mentally but he's just no that same player..

Add the fact he has no confidence..

Agree about just trying to hold a lead until the break end getting player's like McGregor back. The signs aren't that convincing for the next few week's..

Confidence is obviously very low. Smashing high balls into the box doesn't help him and the service to him for a while hasn't been great. Will never happen but in a 2 striker formation with Giakoumakis as his foil, he would flourish.

Cup final against hibs the last Big game hes turned up?

I know he got a bad injury just after that but has played in a fair few big games since. 3 European games and 2 games v huns last season (not fully fit?).

    3 - 0 v huns
    2 - 1 v huns
    4 - 0 v huns

And Real at home. when we could have arguably been at least 2 nil up inside 1st 50 mins.

Easily our best performances in big games this year..... All with Giakoumakis up top.

Our system works better with Giakoumakis

Yep high balls into box don't suit him at all. Thrives on through balls to run onto. Probably missing Rogic more than anyone in the team

He's been absolutely awful in the Champions League and not much better in the league. How GG isn't our starting forward at the moment is beyond me.

What formation would that work with though? Given players at disposal? We are not a 4-4-2 squad, as an example

I thought his movement and effort was good. Just that his touch and finishing completely deserted him.

In fairness Giakoumakis came on and missed an even easier chance. Whilst I agree Kyogo has been pretty poor in the Champions League this season I think Giakoumakis is equally as frustrating and wasteful. He also came on and squandered a massive chance away to Shakhtar too.

Mate, it was him smashing ball's in to the box with no * there when he had an easy inside pass for his man running in..

Then getting a gift of a ball on to his nut that he puts over the bar..

Should’ve been moved left and GG on for Maeda IMO.

I talked him up to the heavens, even said he was maybe the best attacking player we had since Bellamy, very premature with that statement upon reflection.

Good player in our league, but very ordinary outside of it.

I don't know how many chances he wants to put the * ball in the back of the net.

See at his best, he's right up there..

The likes of Leverkusen against Tah, who was as good as anything Leipzig have defensively, he tortured them with his movement. That in and out run he kept making. Did it against Dundee no long before and was making loads of similar runs..

    Now he doesn't. It's strange as *..

    Somethings different with him..

I can only think that his long term injury and being rushed back and out again has really taken something away from him. He looks frustrated a lot during game's or when he's being subbed off.....was the same when it panned in on him realising his number was up and again on the bench. Possibly more mental then..

That burst or sharpness. I don’t know..

He’s off the boil and I’d be starting Giakoumakis ahead of him for the next few games.

Let’s reverse the roles and see what impact Kyogo can make coming off the bench when games are more stretched and their is space for him to exploit.

GG will have more success against tight compact defences IMO.

Tbh we had the same problem with poor finishing against Leverkusen, we had enough chances in that home game to win it
