We don't know who'll be managing us next season. Any new man may want to take a look at Kwon in a few friendlies. But there's no reason why we can't send him back to St. Mirren after whoever is the manager decides on whom does he want in midfield. Riley will be off, and Bernardo's January form has not continued. We might have a spot for Kwon next season.

Do we not? I'm sure who will be managing us regardless of what happens this season.

As for Kwon, there's no point in having him back next season. He's clearly not ready. I'd add another year onto his loan deal to St Mirren, no bother. I'd add in a recall in January 2025 option though just in case but for him and for us it's ideal.

He's close to home so easy to keep tabs on, gets used to the culture and football in Scotland, is capable of doing damage to the huns but not us domestically.

It's idiotic we don't send more out on loan tbh

Been invisible like the rest of the team.

On a side note, Gogic gifted County their goal. Played like prime Pele against us.

That's been happening a lot this season. Absolute nobodies having the game of their lives against us and being * poor the rest of the time.

To be fair to him Gogic has been outstanding in nearly all the games I've watched of them so far.

Don't wanna derail the Kwon thread, but I've been noticing this too. Ross County were getting pumped all ways and came and outplayed us for large spells. Maybe that says more about us, but defo see players and teams busting a gut and playing out their skins against us.

Kwon highlights vs Ross County. The game itself was pretty * and finding highlights were slim pickings as the ball was largely up in the air or out of play. Probably not the best game Sky could have shown to highlight Scottish football :giggle1:. Kwon himself was fine though, mostly tidy on the ball as per usual but nobody really stood out in the game. Enjoy.

Gianni Infantino was at the St Mirren game today to see the legendary Kwon in action.

Hate those kinda games being on Sky, ones that * down south will watch and it confirms what they think Scottish football is like :56:

Majority of games it’s not like that but there’s some that just feed right into that narrative, a game of headers

Kwon vs Aberdeen. Another good game for the lad, I left in some of the commentary where the commentators are gushing over him. Had a quiet second half but it was also the first time (I think) that he played a full 90+ minutes for them. On a sidenote, it would have been criminal if Aberdeen had won. Scored a worldie in the first minute and were * for the rest of the game.

Obviously teams are more open against st mirren than they would be against us but he’s been looking very good for them. Wouldn’t mind him in next season competing with Iwata for the 6 if he doesn’t go back to st mirren on loan

    Been saying this for ages.

Look at how well it did Ajer at Killie, Christie at Aberdeen.

I would have at least 3 or 4 guys out on loan at St Mirren every season.

As you say, it will hurt the huns if they end up playing a blinder, and they won't play against us.

It's just a no brainer, gets our guys used to our league, pitches etc. Right under our nose like you said. St Mirren are delighted to take our guys as well.

Meanwhile, Rodgers has been happy with the progress of one of the other South Korean players who was bought to Celtic in the close season, Kwon Hyeok-kyu, who has found consistent first-team Premiership football since joining St Mirren on loan in January

The midfielder has been a regular at the heart of Stephen Robinson’s midfield, and Rodgers says that he couldn’t be in a better place – or be working under a better manager than his Northern Irish compatriot Robinson – in order to develop his game and adapt to his new league

Again, it’s an opportunity to go and play,” he said.

“We are really pleased. I spoke to Stephen, he needed game time with the squad being too big here. “He is a talented player and hopefully he has gone and shown that and the guys are really delighted with him there.”

Hopefully a boot up the * to our management to have an actual plan for our projects. It's working when we do.

Plenty of teams in the spl cant afford to buy players and we should defo be utilising it more as we have had good success previously
