He's * massive! Hopefully he fulfils his potential as a lot of people rating him very highly. So do we know his (best) position?

He was describing himself as a holding midfielder.

Rogic makes us better, we miss him badly when not playing.
And Ajer is DM/CB. With his height and goal scoring ability and games played at this age. We have a diamond here pheeps...

A DELIGHTED Kristoffer Ajer insisted that coming to Celtic was always his number one choice after the talented teenager today completed a move to the Scottish champions.
Despite being only 17, the central midfielder has already amassed nearly 50 league appearances for Tippeligaen side IK Start and is considered one of the brightest prospects in Norwegian football.
His rapid progress had alerted clubs across Europe, but the Norway youth internationalist was determined to become a Bhoy, particularly after the warm welcome he received during a training spell with the club in early January.
Having put pen to paper on a four-year deal this afternoon, the new recruit couldn’t hide his excitement as he was unveiled to the media in Paradise.
He said: “First of all, it’s a great honour to sign for this big club. I am only 17-years-old and I have already achieved one of my biggest dreams so I can’t wait to start here at Celtic and develop as a player.
“I have played almost 50 matchers in the Norwegian Premiership and I feel ready to come to such a big club like this and try to develop as much as I can and play a lot.
“As a player I need to develop more. I have been at IK Start for two years now and they have been great. I have had playing time and I have played a lot in the Tippeligaen, but now I feel ready to move forward.
“For the whole time, Celtic has been my number one club and I wanted to come here. The trial was amazing. I met the staff, the players and everyone took good care of me. I felt at home here and the people around the club and everyone in Glasgow were so kind, so I had no problems being welcomed here, it was really good.”
“Coming here to play for one of the greatest clubs in the world is amazing and I can’t imagine how wonderful it will be to play.”
Ajer will now return to Norway and start the domestic season with Start, before joining up with his new team-mates in early June.
While the highly-rated youngster knows there is still room for him to develop as a player, he wants to stake a claim for a starting slot.
“I will be a full member of the A squad and I will need to prove myself, develop and be good in training and the playing time I get,” said the new Bhoy. “Time will show, but hopefully I will play a lot.
“I’m a holding midfielder that likes to be on the ball and likes to win it back again. That’s what I have done at Start and what I plan to do here.
“I have many role models that I have watched on YouTube, such as Patrick Viera who is a great player in that position.
“At Celtic, there are also holding midfielders that are very good and I need to learn from. I can’t wait to get back in the summer and start training with them and to learn everything.”
Ajer also admitted that working under compatriot Ronny Deila was also an attraction in coming to Celtic.
“Ronny is a great manager back in Norway, where he has won the Premiership,” added the young midfielder. “He is a good manager and I will prove to him that I am good enough to play.”

As much as I think Ronny should already be gone, our recent signings are quite exciting.

Sviatchenko - Early days but I'll be shocked if he doesn't become a very good player for us.

Roberts - It's only a loan but he seems like a cracking wee player, finally a winger with real ability.

Ajer - He's young but everything about him sounds extremely promising. Captained his team aged 16 and definitely has the physicality for his position.

Obviously we still need a couple more players, however those 3 are definitely a step in the right direction.

Aye! then there is Kazim-Richards :smiley-laughing002:

Nah, in all seriousness, he too could turn out to be a pretty handy addition. I hope things are looking up.

I just pray that our main summer target is Elyounoussi. He's perfect for us.
