One good defender can't save them from relegation. Ajer should've gone to Germany.

It’s sad we’re selling one of our better assets to Brentford.

Thought we had kind of moved away from that after the likes of the Tierney, Dembele, Frimpong sales.

Think Edouard to Brighton would be more galling mind you.

The Germans weren't willing to pay us enough.

Brentford is a decent move, he will either show that he's good when pushed against it and can make those game changing runs against a dominant side or he'll not quite shoe it enough and have to adapt him game and I'd imagine that will improve him.

He'll then get a move to a much bigger team

Good luck to him. Dedicated a fair number of years to us and applied himself to the end.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets opportunities to move into midfield over time. Can't see him being a top class CB given how * he can be in the air but definitely more to come from him.

Great business. Seems a lovely big guy, can’t defend which was his job but is good at brining the ball out. My real fear for him is his defensive weakness will be even more exposed in the EPL but who cares I suppose, we got our money move on.

That'll be the Ajer money covering every transfer in since February.
Yet here we are, woefully short on transfers in and still having taken £13million in during January itself.

All the best to Ajer, I doubt he will be there for too long.
But pull the finger out Celtic. Tight *.

Think he will move to a better club than Brentford next season. Starfelt in gives an £8million profit. Buy some * decent full back ffs

I don’t blame him one bit. Saw the club is doing nothing and not learning from any mistakes and didn’t want to end up with a sour taste in the mouth. Good luck to him.

    All the best big man.

Cracking player that we all know was always going to leave us and go on to better things.

Brentford are not a bigger club, but they offer him further development and a foot in to the epl and towards the bigger clubs.

I'd be very surprised if he lasts more than 24 months at Brentford.
Honestly think arsenal, Liverpool etc will come knocking soon enough for him.

Brilliant service from he will go on to have a great career in England

Norwegian defender, Kristoffer Ajer has joined English Premier League newcomers Brentford ahead of the 2021/22 season.

He joined Celtic as a teenager after picking up rave reviews as a midfielder in his native Norway, but switched to centre-back with the Hoops and a spell on loan with Kilmarnock in 2017 primed him for first-team football with the Hoops.

Known for celebrating goal-stopping tackles as much as strikers celebrate goals, he scored seven goals in 177 games in green and white, and played an important part in winning each of the 12 consecutive trophies lifted in four seasons, including scoring the final spot-kick that secured the unprecedented Quadruple Treble.

Everyone at Celtic Football Club wish Kristoffer every success in his future career down south and thank him for his role in the club’s success in recent years.
