Good luck to him. Would have fancied bit more than 13.5mill but he is in his last year and we don't know what add ons or sell on percent will be in place. Fairly clear he wanted gone for a while but still was our best player in most games last season and I include Turnbull in that

£2b in assets yes. £2b in cash that devalues with raging inflation? Not so much.

    Wish him all the best.

Hopefully if he becomes VVD lite, other cb's might see us as a good place to go and develop and go on to get a good career in the game.

Great attitude and a terrific player while he was here. I hope he can go higher than Brentford. No doubt we’ll have a wee sell-on if he does.

    Ah well… inevitable

I’m sure the money will be thoroughly well invested in new players. :34:

Good fee for a good player.

Sorry to see him go. Great attitude, and think he would have gone in and developed more under Ange. But he's not irreplaceable.

    All the best Kris.

Pretty much grew up here in his formative years. Wonder how he feels about it.

Don't blame him for taking the step mind. Good luck to him.

    Selling himself way short.

He's far better than Brentford * sake.

    Good luck

Stepping stone move, say he’ll be sold after one season/two max to a much better club for 25-40 mil

Still would have preferred him in the bundesliga where I think he would have excelled.

I appreciate its the finances dictating things.

Cmere wherever he goes is his decision, I wouldn’t mind seeing how he does in the EPL albeit with a weaker team, happy enough for him that he got his move and we got a decent fee with his contract status. I’m sure he will excel at Brentford and earn himself a good move, has the talent and the attitude

All the best and good luck, one player I will always have a soft spot for. Gave his all and I’m sure he will always get warm reception if he comes back to play with another team.

All the best, not sure why anyone would have a bad word to say about him, seemed like the only * who cared last season
