Your favourite player, nah would never have known that, definitely player of the year last season but certainly wouldn’t be hard in that team last season, think time will tell if he’s as good as you and him think he is, good luck to him

Very good player, still has stuff he could be better at but at the age of 23 he will improve in those areas and go onto have a very good career, we will miss his driving runs out from defence we haven't had that since VVD and will find it hard to replace in the near future at least, hope we get a mega sell on fee because he is gonna be a top centre half one day.

    Farewell Ragnar.

Ajer doesn't have defensive instincts, he looks lost when balls come into the box, one of the main reasons for us conceding so many goals from crosses and set-plays.

Fair * to the lad, I'd have tried to keep him till Jan with Howe so we can win the league back.

Fact none of that is now happening it shouldn't come as a surprise to any * he wants away from this shitshow.

Hope he gets a good move and not to * like Newcastle.

Remember to take those quotes with a pinch of salt cause @littlekennie says 'it's players like him that are creating the toxic environment'

Is it any coincidence that Rodgers hasn't came in for him, as he would likely be exposed in the Premier league.

He has mostly been careful about speaking out about the club's future, but at the press conference for the national team in Marbella earlier Friday, Kristoffer Ajer was not to be misunderstood:

He wants a club change during the summer.

In an interview with TV 2, the Celtic profile now opens up about why he expects it to happen in the next few weeks.

The 23-year-old claims that he has an agreement with the Scottish big club that he will be allowed to leave the club now.

    - The promise was that I would be allowed to travel last summer, but then we agreed that I would stay in the club because we would try to win ten in a row. It was important for the club, but unfortunately we did not make it. Now we have come to the point that I will leave the club, and I really expect the board to keep its word, says Kristoffer Ajer.

    Hoping for clarification soon
He has been linked with a number of clubs in recent times, including Newcastle in the Premier League.

Ajer does not want to comment on clubs - but one thing he is clear on:

    - I hope it settles down as soon as possible. It will be in the best interests of all parties, he says.

The national team stopper has one year left on his contract with the Scottish big club. According to Ajer, it has not been agreed that he will be allowed to leave if someone puts in a certain transfer fee, but the 23-year-old expects the parties to be solution-oriented.

According to Ajer, Celtic repeated as late as January that he should leave the club this summer.

I do not think this comes as a surprise to Celtic. They know what I want. In addition, I think it is important for them to sell me with a view to rebuilding the club. I think the club is grateful to have been in a situation where they can get money for me, he says.

    - Are you prepared that there will be "control" over such an interview?

    - Yes, I am. At the same time, I reckon most people know my intention. I have been in the club for five years and have given absolutely everything. I think most people will appreciate that I want to give something back to the club instead of, for example, waiting until the summer and running away with a lot of a transfer fee myself, says Kristoffer Ajer.

    Extremely grateful
Ajer believes that it will benefit both parties that he changes clubs during the summer. After five years in Scotland and over 180 games for the club, he believes it is important.

    - I have simply become a Celtic supporter, he says about his time in Glasgow.

Five years in the big city have made an impression.

    - Celtic is a fantastic club. From the outside, it may be difficult to understand how big the club is, but playing in front of 60,000 spectators every weekend and walking around the streets and really feeling the pressure, it has been absolutely fantastic. I have gotten to know Scots, there are incredibly warm people and I have had close relationships in the neighborhood that have supported me through both ups and downs. Celtic has been a fantastic experience and is a club I owe extremely much to, says Kristoffer Ajer.

Now he still wants to move on.

    - I think it is important for my development that I get to a higher level. I have never felt that I have evolved away from Celtic. Celtic is a huge club that requires you to be at your best all the time. But I want to see how far I can get myself, and then I think I have to play in a better league. I have trained really hard every single day and have come where I have come because I have trained most of all. Now I want to see how far I can get, and then I think it is important to play in a top five league, says Kristoffer Ajer.

Think club change will help the national team
On the national team, Kristoffer Ajer has for a long time been named Norway's new leading star in the midfield. In the first match against Gibraltar, however, the 23-year-old was wrecked by Ståle Solbakken, who was previously out in VG and announced that Ajer should change club.

In Marbella today, defense veteran Brede Hangeland, who is responsible for the Norwegian national team, repeated that it is desirable for the national team team that Ajer changes club.

I think it is important for Kristoffer to get to a higher level now. He has all the prerequisites to become extremely good. In order to do that, he must more often feel that he is being tested to the max every weekend. If he finds a club where he can, he will experience an enormous development, said Hangeland.

Kristoffer Ajer himself believes that a club change will be positive news for the national team.

    - I think it is very important. I have felt a little on the national team that I have been very surprised by the level of the opponent, so I think it is important for the future that I get to a better league. At the same time, I must emphasize that I have become extremely fond of Celtic: I could have sat here for another six months and taken most of the transfer fee myself, but with a transfer now I want to give something back to a club that has meant extremely much to me, he says.

Rodgers’ big centre half signing when he was here was Jack Hendry.

Wouldn’t trust his judgement on centre backs.

Naturally I would rather have seen him made captain and stay but I have nothing but respect for Ajer and wish him nothing but the best when he moves this summer. He has given his all to us and you see the real character of a person and player when things are not going well and what we saw from Ajer last season was real guts. I certainly hope he gets a move to a club that can actually accomplish something in a big 5 league as well not some relegation struggler.
Money wise hopefully we can get at least 12m.

If he wants to further his career it won’t be through changing league. It’ll be through changing position. Never a CB IMO

Can't really fault him for wanting to test himself at a higher level
