What is he - defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder?

 

Probably unknown at this point, was reading Rosenborg fans to see what they thought of him. Most of them thought he is too raw to play the holding role as he's not got the experience/knowledge and hes not that quick so could get caught out and he doesnt really have the ability to play attacking midfield as hes average on the ball but at the moment they would play him as an attacking midfielder if he was getting a game even though hes not really an attacking midfielder but he could do a job there without bothering the team.

Sounds a wee bit like Henderson really a centre-mid who probably as yet wouldnt be good enough to get a game there so is used higher up the pitch.

 

It's dead according to just about everyone who has been reporting on it recently.

 

Defensive but he has played further up the pitch as well.

 

Wouldn't be too bothered to lose Forrest,as long as we get a few million for him.

 

We hold all the cards though, as soon as the window closes they are goosed as no-one is going to give them a good deal when he can be got for compensation only on a pre-contract.

Given that its said if we sign him he'll go back to them on loan anyway then there is no chance that we are really going to give them any decent % of a future sale considering we're just making a * of ourselves.

We should wait until the window closes then negotiate with them to sign him in the summer, give them like £300k and 5%, which they'd probably be forced into taking as if they don't we can get him on a pre-contract and would probably only need to pay about £100k in compensation.

 

Can play CB &/or Holding Midfield... Where Brown and Bitton are in the 2.
With his height and age, we have to get this kid signed. For the money they want the deal will happen if we want it to. If this doesn't happen, Celtic turned away from the deal. I hear his club are holding a press conference later? Anyone heard this or did I read something wrong?

If he's a defensive midfielder type then we should definitely take a flyer on him. With Brown and Bitton also in the squad we take the time to develop the boy without having to rely on him every week.

If we don't sign him now he'll probably end up in England and be worth about £15million in two years time. Meanwhile we'll aw be sitting here goin 'We shoulda signed him ffs'.

 

They did, earlier today. Was about a new signing to Start, and nothing on Ajer. Dead deal according to latest reports..

Iv never wanted a player in more recently this kids got such high potential and he could well be over hyped but then again he could be a serious gem of a player after all there is lots of other top clubs interested why not steal him when we have the chance for cheap... Sort it PL

Can't get him in a pre contract his current deal isn't up until January next year mate

 

Then lets sign him and then loan him back
Seems a no brainer and good one for the future

 

I've seen him a lot, and yes he's already talented enough to be in our squad.
