20 years old and a complete * leader. Look who the first one over was any of the incidents with Broony, the goal saving tackle, the tackle over the wing at the end...

    * love him.

Very good point. For such a young lad he really has such a strong personality on the field. Massive performance from him yesterday had pretty much everything. For all the work we need to do on the defense over the summer we already have one of the center backs we need going forward. Should be one of the core players we do everything we can to keep for the long term.

Offer him a six-year deal immediately.

Aye, big man was * exceptional without doubt.

LEadership qualities where there for all to see, wasn't afraid of a tackle, positional sense was excellent, he's definitely gained a few yards in pace since he came to Celtic.

What I REALLY liked about him yesterday was his ability to take possession in his area, and gallop a good 30/40 yards up the park with the ball and get the attack starting - quite literally almost van Dijk-esque.

He has that bud, joyous to watch - especially from a CB.

Our no 1 CB, let's get him a good quality partner in the summer, no more cheap options, spend the money.

Won’t happen but he should be the next captain.

Far more of a leader than KT.

Can't speak highly enough of him. The one criticism you can put to him is the very odd defensive lapse.

I can see him becoming a really top class footballer over the next few years. Immense.

John Kennedy has revealed Kristoffer Ajer’s warrior-like traits get him slaughtered by team-mates for celebrating winning tackles at five-a-sides.

The Norwegian kid emerged as a Celtic hero for his battling display against Rangers.

Ajer suffered an early facial knock and spilled blood but refused to take a backward step and produced a goal-saving block in injury-time to deny Joe Worrall.

The defender celebrated like he’d scored but Kennedy said: “I’ve seen him do that in training in five v fives.

He sometimes gets stick for it but that’s his passion. You can see what it means to him and that’s what you want.

“That tackle shows his passion for the game and what it means to stop them scoring a goal at that vital moment.

That’s what it is all about and these are the personalities you want.

He will get stronger next to the rest of the group and he’s a great boy to work with. There’s a maturity coming with Kris now. He’s a young player but he has a lot of experience now.

“He’s still only 20 but being involved with Norway he’s getting more experienced all the time.

“Kris wants to learn, develop and be the best he can be. In big games, where young players can get caught a little bit sometimes, he has grown stronger and stronger.

We warned him when he first came in and was starting to play as a centre-half that he’d get a few scratches here and there. Kris thought he’d be a model after football! But the more games he plays the less likely that is to happen!

“We have a few young players in the squad who are getting stronger all the time. It’s a great squad with young players and also experience.

“They’re a really good group to work with and the attitude they’ve shown in the last few weeks, pushing to
    The end, won’t change.
