I would just like to point out that stokes got 21 last year by himself. As far as commons goes I would sell him if anything resembling a decent fee comes in. Hes a good spl attacker but hes out of his depth in europe. In the few minutes mcgregor took over his spot behind the striker tonight he created more than commons had in the whole game. He is a very slow player in both his speed of thought and of foot. Hes also about to turn 31 and is in the last year of his contract. He wants 20,000 pounds per week. With those wages we could probably pay the weekly wages of duda, zyro, and radovic combined.

For whatever reason commons seems to have a special place in the heart of many celtic fans while stokes is often a scapegoat. However they are both very similar players. Both get goals and perform well in the spl but then generally look like * and hold back the team when taken out of it.

in fairness mightymcginn there are a good few at celtic who are out of their depth in Europe this season, the players who have came in the last season or two have been poor, besides VDV, Commons has done well for celtic and was outstanding last season, i also have great time for Stokes
thats what gets under my * about this site, most on it * about the two best players we have in Stokes and Commons and want them sold,

Berget is going to be a poor signing wait and see and he might not be the last bad signing in under RD.

Hugh Keevins reckons the deal to sell Commons to West Brom is "at an advanced stage". No fee was mentioned.

Amazing to think he could be on his way just 3 months after being voted POTY in Scotland.

I'd be more gutted to see him go than I would Forster or Van Dijk.

I'll miss him and he has been incrediable for us but hes lazy and doesnt work hard so doesnt as number 10 in defensive terms so maybe its best for him to move on.

If the fee of £7.5m is correct then we would be crazy not to accept. In all honesty I would take half of that.

That said he will be a miss in domestic games this season if he does go.

Still got Griffiths and Stokes, saying that I wouldn't mind them going as well. I'm sure we'll sign a couple of attacking players.

I just don't see where Commons fits in.

Horrific to see people happy enough losing all these players our only half decent players...
7.5m would be too hard to turn down for commons but to see people happily accepting it is baffling.

if we are going to sell 3 key players for upwards of 25million - then sell sell sell.
Yes it may be the boards prefered method of dealing in transfers etc, but if reinvested properly (i know) then thats great business. We could get 2/3 new defenders, a solid midfielder, a creative outlet, and a poaching finisher with change left over for that.

I'd be happy about selling Commons for £7.5m if it meant we'd reinvest £5m but I k ow that won't happen. Keep Kris. I hope he retires here.
