I could just imagine Lawwell's face when he gets offered £7.5m for a 31 year old with a year left on his contract :smiley-laughing002:

It's far too late in the transfer window to even consider selling one of our main goal threats, especially when we have been quiet to say the least in this window.

Unless we actually buy a quality att midfielder before he leaves then they can * off.

would be a very good deal . i am just concerned about how low we will let the standard of this squad drop too ....and then we will get the usual " we were working round the clock but just couldn't get anyone in " . If this were to happen (plus the inevitable forster sale and possible VVD sale ) we would have punted Ki, Ledley , Wanyama , Hooper , samaras Wilson , Commons , VVD and Forster . Seriouslly frightening amount of talent to get rid of and replace with leigh griffiths and craig gordon.

The people that are saying sell, I hope I never see you slag of the board again, your just as bad.

"Let's sell our best player for a few million because he's old now and not see any of it reinvested and our team will be weaker! But hey £5m we will never see but it's totally worth it!" :ranting2:

It appears we still have half wits posting on here. Really no Celtic fan could possibly be so stupid not to see through the MSSM doing what it is best at . Upsetting Celtic fans in the immediate build up to a major game . Christ bhoys wise up , they have been posting this * since I can remember first over fifty years ago . Its a shame that some people encourage the MSSM to continue their rumour and innuendo to the detriment of Celtic and fans .

No way will a team offer that much for Commons. I know teams down south have more money than sense but £7.5 million?:smiley-laughing002:

If it did happen then we would obviously sell him, he's worth about half of that. I'm not a fan of him at all but I wouldn't be happy selling him unless the money we receive would be reinvested - which won't happen.

I'm glad everybody's well mostly everybody agrees on this one even if it's less than 7.5

£7.5m seems great for a 30 year old in the last year of his contract but I bet we wouldn't see a penny of that reinvested so if rather keep commons.

I would be disapointed to see him leave as he is our key attacking threat but £7.5m would go down nicely.... If it was actually * re-invested in the squad.

There's no point in selling. There is no * chance we'd bring in a midfielder capable of scoring 32 goals in a season.

Or matching anywhere near Commons record for us.

For £7.5million I would take their hand off. I will be astonished if they actually offer anything close to that amount though.

Really? Even though you've been going on about how the board has been killing the club through inaction?

£7.5m would be a great price, if we would re-invest it, we aren't going to though. So I want us to * keep everybody.

No chance that fee being true . Due to his age and then the length of time he has left to run on his contract.

    Yes really.

My campaign for the board to spend the money would begin before the ink had even dried on his WBA contract. :smiley-laughing002:

I totally get where you are coming from but the right thing to do here would be sell for £7.5million then re-invest that money. So that's what I would like to see happen.

Aye, I think the boards proven enough that they aren't going to spend the money we're selling our players with, so what's left is to kick up * about actually selling our players.

    You know what I mean?

I don't care if it was £50m, we won't see a penny. So they can * off.

I'd take 7.5m for him, replace him with McGregor and sign a Winger.

We have more than enough to win the SPFL without Commons
