Hope we keep him,a fit and motivated Commons is some player and with us playing 60+ games this season we'll need the likes of him for a bit of rotation and to open up hard SPL games at least.

I would be happy with him staying but also not bothered if he is punted. One my favourite players in my time watching the hoops.

I said I'd have liked to see him get 100 goals aye. He's been a good player for us in the past.

I also said I'd rather Armstrong in the 10 role ahead of him now because he actually runs and tries even if he is gash, whereas Commons does little tracking back, hardly tries to link up now, just takes a dig when he gets the ball.

And the irony coming for you about debating is funny seeing as your opinions are the laughing stock of the forum.

Can't see him playing a part after all wants players to press high. Commons has little pace has never been player to get stuck in chase the game or press players. Yes been amazing player over years but more injury prone these days. And to be honest we have much better player atm. And that is rogic. He is very talented player and looks like this season could be a all mighty one for him future is bright under rogers

Hmmm I don't rate Griff and Brown as highly as the rest and I don't rate Ambrose as badly as most do.

If that's the most controversial I've been then I'd say that's not too bad going.

I think it's safe to say Commons is a better player than Stuart Armstrong in almost every aspect of the game.

For the money he's on he's not worth it any more. He's going to be a bit part player, if he even stays.

Get rid and free up some wages.

As I said earlier, I look like I'm coming across as if I don't or didn't like Commons as a player, I do and I respect him highly for what he's gave us. I just don't think he fits in here in the slightest now.

I used Armstrong(even though he's pish)as an example of how far I think Commons is down the pecking order.

Time to move on I think, frees up some cash. He's not going to be in the first team, he wont be much of an impact player since he really needs a run of games to get fit and sharp to make a dfference. Best for parties involved to move on.

And I still say Commons is superior in just about every aspect than Armstrong mate.

I like Commons but i'm not sure he has enough intensity to play in a BR team.

Why do you have to spoil a really good post with a needless dig at Deila?

Not true. The short-arsed c*** is useless in goals.

Where does this idea come from that Commons can't play a pressing game? I still don't really understand what went wrong domestically last season but it certainly wasn't only Kris Commons and when things were going well in Deila's first season, Commons was one of the first to really get the idea of the modern pressing game and he did it very well.

Jury's still out on this I think. I don't think he is currently in Rodger's plans for the first 11 but I wouldn't put it past him to be able to turn that around. How slim he is looking is a great start.

I still struggle to see how he even gets the chance to prove himself.

Don't get me wrong I think he'd still score 15 or 20 for Celtic if he got a run at it but he just doesn't have the things BR wants in a midfielder, attacking or otherwise. And that isn't down to age either, he's never put a shift in going back the way.
