    Always the same mate.

I love hearing the "he only scores cos he shoots too much" line trotted out. * priceless. :smiley-laughing002:

So there you go the rest of britains midfielders. Want to be a 30 plus goalscoring superstar?

    JUST * SHOOT MORE!!

That's the * cat out the bag now. A cunting revelation! And if you want 40 goals!?!!

    SHOOT * MORE!!!

Come on boys it aint * brain surgery!

I can't believe Deila doesn't seem to want him, and I can't believe some people want him gone. The guy has his limitations, but he can see a pass and can score a goal.

I remember when he joined halfway through Lennon's first season. We were OK at the back, solid in midfield and had goals up front, but needed someone to knit it all together and that's what Commons did. He had his dip in form but came back stronger.

In addition to that, he seems to have a genuine affection for the club. We shouldn't be chasing him out.

its seems as if 90% of this forum/thread are judging how good kris commons is by his goals in scotland

i have to admit he's been a good player a very good player for us in scotland and last season as an attacking mid come support striker he scored an incredible amount of goals in scotland

i and the other 9% are not judging him poorly for his goals/assists/performances in scotland

its the hard games i and the 9% are judging him (EUROPE) and on and the style of play the manager wants to play fast/loose/free flowing and he aint got it anymore at this level the european level

Not trying to knock his goals last season BUT, alot of the time he wasn't really playing as a midfielder, was basically upfront for the whole time.

    Carry on....

Almost as good as the one the other day, Stokes only sets up a lot of goals because he has more chances to set up a lot of goals.

He was playing as an attacking midfielder, only time I can remember him properly up front was his hat trick against Hearts in the 7-0 were Brown was the man behind the strikers.

Three goals qualifies as a "hun-skelper" must be a low standard.

He only played against them 7 times lol You expecting hunskelpers to score against them every game?

That aside anyway, im happy to see him out the team, he does contribute a lot of goals but for me not really that much of a benefit to the team over all. He loses the ball too much, is too slow etc that he gets in the way or harms a lot of other play.

Been a very good servant and done really well but id let him go. Johansen is just so much better in the hole, faster, fitter, a ball winner, scores, creates, constantly involved in the game, gets back to defend and just the whole team benefit and play better with him there.

Would play him every week personally, massive goal threat,at the end of the day that's what football is about, scoring more goals than your opponent, imo we will score more with commons in the side

I seem to remember him playing more as CF or support striker, pushed right up. I certainly wouldn't have classed his role as a midfield role personally.

Attacking midfielder's get about the park a bit, don't just dictate the play. Like Johansen fits the role perfectly. Commons last season more or less stayed up the park for the whole game.

I think that's more of a box to box midfielder mate, like Broony.would prefer commons in the team with Johansen.

    What? :97:

What would you have classed Kaka as at Milan? Because that was basically Commons role last season. It was attacking midfield for me.

    Wow.

You didn't watch the game and you are on here after an excellent performance spreading negativity over multiple threads.

    Hurting much?

Kaka was a classic number 10 for me, I don't see Commons' role last season as that. The reason he grabbed most of those goals was down to the fact he was right up in the thick of it, I just don't think he could be classed as an out and out midfielder last year. If anything he had more of a free role.

Agree to disagree on this one I think.

Also, on the subject of Kaka, it's * depressing to see him signing for Orlando City at only 32 years old. Wish he never left AC.
