If you look at his total time with us it seems kind of obvious that last season was a bit of an aberration. I always thought his efforts last season were helped by the fact he was willing to shoot every single time he got the ball, no matter were he was or were anyone else was on the pitch.

Commons has anything but quick feet, just look at his general play in Europe where he has less time on the ball. He's a good player for a Lennon-type system, he's a hinderance to what Ronny is trying to do.

Lawwell is the common denominator. The man is a wolf in sheeps clothing. He is harming the club and needs removed.

Get him on the yoga! Did wonders for Giggs.

Commons has been class for us and I'd be disappointed to see him leave alongside Kayal as well.

But, Commons clearly has no place in Deila's plans. Shame.

BTW were did this "hun-skelper" come from? As near as I can see he has scored 3 goals against them.

hes done! finished at the top level! like playing with 10 men in europe

maybe him and other slow players have a future getting on for the last 15 minutes in europe but other than that waste of money, get a younger quicker version of him

First to quote the original point ,there should be no dilemma ,Commons can hit a ball and is very rarely off target ,and is probably the best striker of a ball we have also alongside forrest is the best at picKing out a defence splitting pass from midfield ,he should be asked to do a job that he can do ,not a defensive job others should be doing.
commons should get a 3 year deal ,he wants to stay ,he is not finished ,look at lubo when he came he is faster than that and we kept him for over 3 years ,but Mon had him doing a particular job and had players that could defend if we lost the ball trying to attack .

Commons has a good touch and quick feet and is like Lubo.

    Heard it all now.

    Stokes obviously, or Johansen
    Yep!

He's a good midfield goal-scorer.... that's about it for me. Which is nice to have.

But he's nowhere near Lubo in terms of style or ability.

I'll say it just now, it will be a very long time, if ever, we will ever see another midfielder score 32 goals in a season. Last one was probably Bobby Lennox who was technically an inside forward.

Whatever is overall style you cant knock the goals he has scored for us. On top of that we are certainly nowhere near good enough to think that a midfielder who scores so much for us should not be playing.

Nobody said he is like lubo apart from a miss quote at the top ,he is a player who gets goals can link mid and attack can split a defence ,we just should not ask him to defend ,our team should be set to allow players like him to showcase and if we lose possession there are players and a system to cover this .

The other night against Dinamo showed he isn't good enough to be a luxury player like that. Countless times we had the chance to break and when the ball went to him he killed it stonedead. Either by having an embarrassing first touch or just simply not having the brain to know what to do with the ball under pressure and just turning back and putting the team under pressure by passing the ball back.

Really couldn't give a * if he scored on the night, his overall performance and work rate was a shambles.

Goals might mask that for some people.

    aye

it comes between the 'forwards' and the 'defenders'.
