i like commons but there isnt a chance he would be in the premiership he has absolutely no pace and that is a big part of football now the ability to outrun your opponent

 

He could have easily went to the Premiership in that transfer window. It was only Premieship teams that wanted him.

 

Norwich was the only rumoured team i heard and they are championship?

 

West Brom confirmed their interest, Sunderland were rumoured.

Heard nothing of Norwich.

Doesn't matter a toss to be fair, he's a good Celtic player. Outstanding amount of goals from a midfielder and our current player of the year. EPL is irrelevant.

 

He's been superb for us but this season mince, he got motm on sat but I thought he was awful, wasted so much for me.

As mentioned I seems like he's playing football with a wind-blower now with his skyward shots.

 

Get with the drift man ffs,did'nt you know that last years POTY sucks,that the best LB since Jackie sucks,that Stokes who we got for 1.1 mil,who has scored more goals and laid off more assists combined than any other present player SUCKS,did you not know that Mulgrew(who has been one of our best players these last 4 years)now sucks,etc etc.

Oh and NFL left Ronnie a bunch of fat,lazy burger eating duds so he did,ye mean ye didnae know all that,whit ye like.

 

commons hasn't got properly into the run of things yet

izzy has no competition for his place and his standards have slipped recently his going forward is good but gets caught out at the back

stokes is played out of position as a lone striker where he isnt comfortable

all of these are because of the drastic change in the way we now play compared to last season just because the players fitted well last season doesnt mean they are automatically amazing this season. You shouldnt be dwelling on the players past achievements but looking at their current form.

and the bit about lennon at the bottom is true and i dont think anybody can deny that fitness was nowhere near as high up lennons agenda as it should have been

 

Aye yer right about Lennon,but funny enough nearly everone of his players were fit enough to go represent their countries when called and come back and play for us,strange huh?.

As for "drastic change",* that's a good one,Ive been a carpenter for nearly 50 yrs and see this "drastic change",Im gonnae try it,I'm gonnae from now on use my pliers instead of my hammer to hit a nail,brilliant.

He's got to be dropped, the pundits/media all * over him though. I near pish myself when I hear them all lauding him or slaughtering Ronny because he dropped him for about 1 game, when Celtic fans at the games are dying to see him out the team.

That's what * me off, some people rate him and think he's our best player because he had a freak season.

 

He's basically a mini version of Fat Kris across the city now, his allround play has went to *. His first 2ish 2 and a half years he always played fairly well, even that season he only scored 1 goal, he passed the ball about and his movement was better. Now he's a lazy * doesnt track back, doesnt move anywhere waits for the ball to be passed into him so he can mis-control it or try and turn and fall to his knees.

He shouldn't have got POTY last season either as he played worse than he did the season before, I said it at the time even though he scored more goals. He couldnt lace Van Dijk's boots and it's probably had a worse effect on him again as now he just wants to score goals even more.

 

Great guy but his time is up for me. If Commons is seen as our most creative outlet and our best player we are in * serious trouble. I've had enough.

 

Totally agree.

Van Dijk should definitely have been POTY, he was streets ahead of Commons. Twice the player.
