If commons wants a 3 year contract on £20k p/w he deserves it and he'll get it I reckon.

It would be madness not to give him that contract, He's our top goalscorer from last season and our main match winner.

No way he'll get a three year contract on 20k a week at 31.

Not the biggest fan of him in a CAM role in Europe but he is undoubtedly one of our best players, and consistently so!

Sign him up - I don't think I could bear to see both him and Sammy leave out of contract!

That's nothing compared to what your average EPL guy gets I bet there's some guys playing in league 1 who earn 20k a week, Kris deserves it he deserves to retire here

If he and his family are very happy here then maybe he could become part of our coaching staff in the future... i would be very tempted to give him the contract, perhaps 2yrs with 1yr option would be best option.

A 3 year contract? I can't see that. We can't pay a guy for what he has done over the last 3 years, we have to pay him for what we think he can do for the next 3 years. And considering he is 31 at the end of the month and not the most "natural" of athletes, aah, not for me.

As far as him being a coach goes, why? Lots of good players make terrible coaches and plenty of water-carriers make great coaches. Get your badges, and do some work NOW with the kids so we can see what you can do.

    I'm not picky.
But the club has to pay him based on what he has done. What the Club thinks he can do is based on what he's already done for us. If he has been playing * then the Club would punt. If he's been one of our top players - which he is and has been - then you offer a contract based on that.

If he continues to play the way he's been playing I'd say he is worth it.

Surprised nobody has tried to tempt him away before now, arguably our best asset at times.

I would sell him at £7.5 million but not a penny less. Having said that he isnt worth £7.5 million due to his age.

7.5 million?! If that's true (which I highly doubt) we don't need to think about it. He's probably worth around 3mil so if they want him and are willing to offer 5/6/7 million I'd drive him down myself!
