Brown and Mulgrew were injured. No excuses for Commons not being there though.

If I were commons I'd tell him to stuff i. He's not even scottish so no one could blame him if he did..

Levein is a clueless *. Honestly the most stupid manager i've ever seen. What happened to the 6 players who were ahead of him? I hope he's sacked..

Every opportunity should be taken by Commons I think. I don't think he should snub Scotland. Sure Levein is a * but this is his opportunity to shine really. And good on him. Just don't come back injured Kris! We need you in the CL!

Best passer of the ball I've seen at Parkhead since Lubo Moravcik.

    Anyone agree?

Fully agree. Was going to post that he is the best passer of the ball in the SPL I've seen in a long time. :50:

Nakamura was a better passer in my opinion.

Nah. Naka was better imo. Commons' passing has improved a lot since he came though. I love his crosses though, when he catches it right its so dangerous :50:

I had a thought about Naka and I realised, he may have been a better passer but Commons has showcased that ability far more than Naka did in the Hoops due to him being allowed to drift inside the pitch and pick out the strikers.

Naka was nailed to the touchline so didn't get that opportunity to often. Most of Naka's assists were crosses or set pieces. Wasn't many times you would see passing like Commons done on Sunday or the week before at Motherwell or even his great pass to Hooper in Helsinki (I think, it was the plastic pitch anyway?)

I think Naka would have done a better job than he did from open play if given the license to drift like Commons is though, as I think his passing is just fundamentally superior :50:

Also, Commons simply suits the game up here down to the ground. Much more prominent than he was in England :50:

I agree with that, Naka probably is a better passer of the ball than him but Commons is a better passer of the ball for Celtic because Lenny is allowing him to showcase it.

Remains my biggest frustration with Gordon Strachan's Celtic. He could have allowed McGeady and Naka off the leash a bit more, especially the last season.

Naka was played wide when he was a central player, scary what he could have been when he was already that great.

Donati and Crosas are incredibly good passers of a ball. Sno was good too IMO.

Donati's passing was * ridiculous; 5 yard pass wouldn't meet it's man but he could put the ball on a penny from 50 yards :56:

Crosas' passing was exceptional as well.

I'd contend it wasn't the same type of passing we're meaning though. I personally really liked big Ki and he could cut a defence open from deep, but didn't take the risk often enough. McCourt can do that too when he's on and has the opportunity. Crosas's passing stats are no doubt very good but again, not in the same creative way as Naka. Commons is willing to take a risk with his shots, crosses and passes and that's why I'd put him above them passing-wise :50:
