    That's an incredibly strange thing to come out with considering we've got guys like Wanyama, Kayal, Hooper, Mulgrew, Ledley and Izaguirre.

    He's one of the best midfielders in Britain right now, never mind the * SPL.

    I think when on form Commons, kayal, Hooper and wanyama are the outstanding players in the league, sammy and izzy too probably. Kris has been the best player this season though i wouldn't say hes head and shoulders above the others i mentioned when they are at their peak. Weve got some amount quality in our team.

    He is neither the best player in Scotland nor the best midfielder in Britain, catch a grip.

    What he is, is a guy in red hot form and with a point to prove which can only be good for Celtic.

    How could he be the best player in the SPL by a distance when he wasn't even nominated for POTY his last 2 seasons here? He's very good an when on form is absolutely excellent for us but that's when he's on form. When Samaras or Hooper are on form for us they're just as good if not betetr than Commons on form.

    Commons has more to give than samaras. Commons has a massive range of passing which he really showed off today, he's generally a good finisher and hammers in the odd long range special, as well as being able to run with the ball. On top of that he's also good with a dead ball.
