Seeing Izzy play again and then Commons coming on as a sub was another very positive aspect out of yesterdays game. I thought Commons looked quite sharp and had some nice touches when he came on too. I was really hoping he was going to curl one home with the free kick chance he had. As others have suggested I think one good strike and goal and his confidence will soar. What a boost for the second half of the season having a fully fit and in form duo in Izzy and Commons working down the left would be.

Great to see him make a return to the team. As soon as he is fully fit, he should be back into left mid for Sammy. Don`t get me wrong, Sammy has played quite well for the last few weeks but Commons provides the team with a lot more imo. Forrest and Commons on either wing-how sexy is that? :icon_mrgreen:

Don't expect too much from him.

As long as he's half the player from last season, i'll be happy.

My biggest concern was his attitude - would he return to fitness, would he make the effort, would he put a shift in and return to top form...

From a recent interview it seems that his head is the right place. He's definitely saying all the rights things and hopefully he comes roaring back and reminds us all what he's capable of...

Bearing in mind we're back in January again, a carbon copy of last season would be perfect!

    Hail Hail

It would be a huge shot in the arm if Commons could recapture his best form.

Yeah it's great to have him back, when on form he has so much to offer, a goal would boost his confidence :shamrock:

Fantastic player whom im sure will make a significant impact for Celtic from now to the end of the season ,Commons alongside Stokes and Hooper last season with there combinations was brilliant to watch ,We know what Commons can do and when he is up to speed Im pretty sure he will ping a few goals for us .

All i would say is don't worry about his attitude or his form. When he came on the other day he looked sharp as a tack.. There was a moment in the game where he held the ball as if he was 6 foot 7 and built like wanyama! Plus he used some silky foot-work to do so.

I've got no worries, can't wait to see him play 90mins.

I have to hold my hand up and say I really thought Kris was done at Celtic but his two sub appearances have completely changed my mind. I'm so happy I'm not in charge of the club because I'd have gotten rid of him, Muldini and Sammy all of whom have been vital.

Commons is now in contention for a first team place ,he is not fully up to speed but he is'nt far from it either ,thats 2 games in a row where he has made an impact when coming on ,Conditions said today the ball should be played on the deck ,Celtic did'nt do this in the first half but that changed when Commons arrived.
