Toure has exceeded my expectations. Was concerned he was coming to top up his paypacket, but attitude, desire and the way he conducts himself is first class. Clearly has the respect of the players and to hear younger players saying he encourages them is brilliant.

watched the highlights of it there. Lotta diving in a legends game, quite pathetic.

Some players are like a fine wine, plus he is a winner which will also help us hopefully win the treble and do well in the CL this year :celt_2:

Will have been a good exercise for him yesterday ahead of the game next week. Good practise against pensioners who are well over the hill before facing Miller, Barton and Hill.

KOLO Toure has a wealth of experience from a playing career that’s spanned almost 20 years, most of it at the highest level in English football.
His time at Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool has seen him play in a number of derby matches, and now he’s looking forward to this Saturday’s Glasgow derby at Celtic Park.
The league leaders go into the game looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to their Premiership campaign and extend their lead at the top of the table. And Toure is determined to enjoy a successful afternoon at Paradise as he told the official match programme for Saturday’s game.
“We will do our best to win the game, that’s for sure, but the most important thing for us is to put the effort in,” he said. “The result can be positive but when you give everything in the game, when you have done everything right, you’ve fought for every ball and given your heart, at the end of the day we will see what will happen. We want to fight and to make our fans proud.
“We will focus on the game because for us it means three points and it means a lot for our fans, but we have to keep a cool head because if you want to deliver, you have to be calm and play your game.
“I have experienced lots of derbies before. I played with Arsenal against Tottenham and we were winning every time. I don’t really remember losing. At Manchester City we lost a few times against Manchester United and there were also the Liverpool derbies.
“You want to make your fans proud and when you give everything, people enjoy the game. It’s going to be a great day, we’ll enjoy it as players and even more so if we win the game.”

Great attitude Toure and his experience of big derbies and keeping a cool head could be vital. Hope he has some game.

Imagine that wee wido Waghorn going into a challenge with Kolo. It'll be like sending your gran to fight Mike Tyson.

Absolutely solid yesterday when called upon. His leadership and passion are first class.

Dembele and Sinclair have and will get the headlines this season, but Kolo may well prove to be our most important signing. Love the guy.

He's took Broonys mantle as captain for me.

He's so much more vocal and always organizing the team. Love the passion he shows, the big * better stay for more than this season:smiley-laughing002:

He took the other 3 defender's aside in the warmup yesterday and you could almost see him talking through the game with them and pointing out positions etc.....

Stuff like this is invaluable for guys like Tierney

He just calms things down. He's great. I'm sure Sviatchenko will really benefit from playing alongside him, too.

I wonder if he's got another season in him after this?
