A Run DMC-esque rap battle with Israel's entry would be the only way to go...

 

Aye I think we are getting bogged down in minor differences. It was their music and subsequent movie that gained them fame though. The noteriety came after the fame. If not for the movie I doubt they would be asked to play major festivals and they would still be highlighting a genocide to a couple hundred people while the establishment would have no idea who they are or what they stand for.

 

Hate their music, especially all the drug references. Gives me PTSD to being on 3 day seshes and the suicidal feelings that follows (2 year teetotal nearly now ).
Like their politics. Good luck to them they certainly know who they are.

 

Well done on your sobriety mate. I have huge respect for those able to get rid of the demons.

 

and the movie came on the back of their success headlining electric picnic.

The point I was making is the agenda to discredit them came after Coachella. The old quotes dragged up etc. This also brought them more notoriety which helped them actually become more popular.

Shame on you Sean, I’ve posted them before in the music thread lol. They have always stood up for what they think. This will explain hopefully to some on here who don’t know what they are about

 

All power to them. 3 wee guys from west Belfast doing a lot of damage with music and a pen. Long may it continue, highlighting the * going on that the media won't say. Then get labelled terrorists for telling the truth!! They tried to silence The Wolfe Tones, The Pogues, Christy Moore etc, didn't work

 

Think one of them is from Derry but I agree.

It's good that a lot of other bands that were at Glastonbury have spoken up to confirm it wasn't just Kneecap and Bob Vylan that raised it. 2 bands I like Amyl and the Sniffers and Wet Leg were both quite vocal. Definitely a bit of a witch hunt.

Could call it 'Cash from Chaos', like the * Pistols before them, Marilyn Manson, Eminem etc caught on to it. Even fling Madonna, Lady Gaga on there. (And many more).
Scandal sells.
Difference is, they're not doing it for a reaction, they're actually saying what they feel, and making a huge impact.
I honestly think if it wasn't for them, and their stance on Palestine over the past few years, no other * at Glastonbury would have spoke up about Israel

 

Managed to get tickets for and had a cracking night. Definitely worth checking out for anyone who gets a chance in the future.

 

Don't think that's really true mate, numerous bands and musicians have been vocal about it, just think they're very hot just now and very much in the public eye, and definitely getting targeted more than others so there's more focus on them.

Bands like Wolf Alice for example, have been listening to them for a lot longer than Kneecap have been around and they've always been very vocal as far as I can remember at festivals, gigs and interviews.
