2.65 million a year? Is that it? Would love to know how many shirts we sell and work out how much they give us per sold shirt. That wouldn't even factor in tv exposure. I'm assuming gambling sites are allowed to be on shirts in Europe?

 

If it was worth more we'd get more offers mate.

I can't understand why anyone could possibly get upset by such trivial nonsense. It's a name on a shirt that brings us revenue and improves their brand recognition.

DD's money comes from gambling, not too many quibbles about that.

That said, i am not too happy with the way gambling has taken over the world (it seems)since deregulation.

 

Actually, what you just said isn't true. When we negotiate our tv deals it's as 1/12th of a league structure. what we get is essentially 'handicapped' by the lack of external interest in the other teams, as well as being divided equally. Bringing all the other leagues into the deal made it worse.

If we cut our own deal we'd be able to draw almost that same full amount ourselves, and possibly more. If the sfa/spfl had any vision or trickery about them they'd be able to market all our games differently, and I'm sure bring in more money too.

But, and it's a big but, none of those things are true, nor ever will be. Right now the administrators of our game believe they've done tge game a great service by steering it to the 'survival' of an old firm return. They think that a piecemeal increase validated their way of dealing with the game... in short, barring some revolution of the game we're * and will be eternally exploited

 

So on our own we're worth more than what we get? Ok, so we're worth more to SKY/BBC than they pay us?
