If Izaguerre had passed rather than blasted that ball across the face of goal we'd probably have gone 3-1 up..
There was also a moment when a shot came across the face of goal and Murphy picked the ball up.. If he'd had a right foot he'd only have needed to swivel and hit it and at least work the keeper who was way off his line but he did the 3 point turn to keep it on his left and played a square pass instead..
Was impressed with Ki's ability to keep the ball and also shield it from the opposition.. Already looking stronger than the first impressions we had of him when he took a tumble against Hibs in a similar situation last season..

Not sure if anyone thought we should have had a penalty a few minutes into the 2nd half.. Maloney was fuming about it..

At the end of the day, we have grinded out a result, we didn't play well but I remember dominating some games last season and playing superb and only getting a point from the game and sometimes worse, this is what we need to do, come to places like this and get the 3 points, in a ideal world yes we would have a good performance to go with it but a win is a win and this is the type of results required if we are to win the title.

My line of thinking is Juarez is a natural right back and he has greater defensive qualities that Cha, who played well today, however I think he would be found out against Rangers, it would also allow us to play the four of Juarez, Ledley, Brown and Kayal in the one team, which would give us a good attacking combative edge.

Loovens looked dodgy to me today, and was far too easily beat for that first goal by Sammons, and against Rangers, especially against Jelavic and Miller, he could be a handicap.

From what I have know of Shittu, he is a a more commanding and decisive centre back, with a fair turn of pace.

    1. You managed to come to that conclusion based on the amount of time spent on the pitch?
    2. Agree with that, they look the best pairing for now anyway.
    3. He would be wasted at full back.
    4. Shittu is *.

from parkhead glasgow but now live in merseyside

he had pace about 2 or 3 seasons ago... then not now, he is like loovens rash going into tackles and nothing better than what we have, again would have been a waste

he is a big lump of a guy thats it just as pish as loovens, when ronge is fit he will get his chance and would rather give that young guy a go than get more * in

too many doom and gloom merchants on this wanting to have a pop YES we will have weeks like this YES it looked a bit disjointed at times but cmon thats what fitba is all about. There is not 1 manager can claim to be good week in week out. the team is still gelling ffs get aff their back and show suppor.t Maybe brown is playing every week coz he is the only one who knows the league inside out

Sorry mate, Think we have crossed lines. I mean Celtic passing was `generally ` class. Rangers beat this Celtic team 2-1 ??

It is not doom and gloom I don't think. We got by the hoodoo 13 today, so
that is 13 SPL wins on the trot, which is to be commended. However it would be naive to say we are the finished article, and we should always be looking at rationale logic and analysis after each game to see where we are going right, and where we are going wrong, and today's performance was worrying in certain aspects.I reckon Lenny blundered by playing McCourt from the start, probably bowing to popular demand, however that is not always a good thing in a manager. Lenny is young in management and he will learn the hard way like we all do in life. I don't think you should break up a winning formula or team, unless you have too, and McCourt's inclusion from the start, seemed to weaken us.

Can't remember , but even if so, he was key to our attacking since Maloney couldn't beat a man the day and he only got stronger as the game went on

    naw he didny

maybees two at some points, but a confident Maloney would have played a one-two or took it inside or just knocked it past. he's not as confident as he used to be.

Didn't see the game but it's great to see us picking up all 3 points when in past seasons this is the exact kind of game we would crumble easily.

Could and should be doing better though so onwards and upwards :50: I've also been a wee bit critical of Stokes so fair play to him for getting a goal and I hope he continues to prove me wrong.

Come on. Realistic would be to acknowledge 13 wins in 13 games, with only 1 goal conceded.
