If this is true, and it seems to be a re-occurring rumour, I hope it happens. He is solid at the back, composed and can score the odd goal. I've watched him for a while now and he seems like a great player. Hope the board don't pussyfoot about as usual. Should just fork out the 1mil to sign him in Jan.

This guy is not playing at CB for Sheffield United at the moment, I watched the game with Barnsley at he played at full back before he went of injured. Therefore should we not looking at the two guys who were keeping him out of the CB position at Sheffield United ?

Bhoys in blunt move for Blade | The Sun |Sport|Football

The sun now has the article as well. With the number of papers that are all coming out with this im starting to get a good feeling. Could be Kilgannon and Verkhovtsov at the back for hun match? Only problem I have with all the signings that we're liking like making is that we won't have any scottish players left in the team except possibly robson and danny fox who was born in england.

If Scottish players aren't of a good enough standard, i would rather we signed foreigners than play mediocre Scots.

Aslong as they have the celtic spirit in them that's good enough for me!

What you've both said is true - i'd just rather we'd do more when we have the chance at players like steven fletcher and that maybe try and sign some of scotlands better players eg mcfadden before reverting to the continent

i dont think mcfaden or fletch are any better than wot we have ,both are disadvantaged by thier height ,the closest we came to the winning formula was mon team ,not many scots in that team was there, and that was when we were higher ranked by fifa.

Excellent defender great in the air bags of pace better than anything we have right now and i think him and O'dea would be fantastic together , but sadly i can see him going Newcastle with them looking like going back up the prem etc , big massive pull for a player like that.

Kilgallon isn't a hard man. He's physical aye but he's no hard man. If he wants 30K a week you can * it. I'd go gor the lad Gabriel Tamas again. WBA want him on loan. Is a really good footballing centre half and cna get physcial too.

Tamas would be great. Is Kilgallon good on the ball?

Well lets take a look at our supposed incoming signings and our strongest XI.

    Boruc

    Hinkel
    Kilgallon
    Verkhovtsov
    Fox

    Maloney
    N'Guemo
    Ki
    McGeady

    Fortune
    McDonald

    Subs :

    Zaluska
    McManus
    Caddis
    Crosas
    ZZ
    McGinn
    Sammy

4 Scots. I know some of you may not know this but for a Champions League / Europa League squad ( For all of the competition ) you need 8 players born in Scotland and at least 4 brought through that academy. However if you sign a young lad from say Romania. If he is with you from the age of 16 he counts towards your academy players. There are few scots that I would think that could do a job for us. The only ones I can think of realistically are : McCarthur , McCormack , Maybe McFadden.

I think our squad will be something closer to:

    -----------------------------------Boruc

    Hinkel----------------Verkhovtsov--------O'Dea----------------Fox

    Brown----------------Crosas--------------N'Guemo-------------------McGeady

    ----------------------Fortune-------------Giroud

    Subs:
    Zaluska
    Loovens
    Ki
    McGinn
    Samaras
    Maloney
    Caddis
