If he stay fit and on form he is in the top 10-15 LBs in world football imo. Is Isak that as a striker?

Isak is definitely a top 10 striker, top 5 easily as well imo.

Fair enough but you get my point mate. This is a once in a lifetime signing at the age he is at.

As a traditional fullback, without injuries, i think he could have reached the very top 15-20 years ago.

Not his style to be playing as a holding midfielder like arsenal deploy their full backs. Excited to see that extra dimension to us in attack with him next year - he’ll be a great foil bombing by Jota on his outside.

Can't wait until he's back in and around the squad, much needed leadership.

A huge gain for the team, strengthening further. Can't wait to see him home and back in 'Hoops'. Fantastic attitude and leadership with some grit thrown in for good measure. Onward and upward Celtic.

Be interesting to see him for Scotland to see how he is.

And if he gets through the games successfully

Should he be retiring from international duty in the near future? it's probably good for him at the moment as he's not playing a lot. Next season will be a massive jump for him in regards to game time, that extra rest for international breaks will do him a world of good.

Have no idea what position he was playing on when he came on. Was it CM?

I think he was the left side of midfield but by the time he came on Scotland were really just hanging on so it was filling in holes in the two banks of 4 defending the box, with one other pushing on to support Hirst.

Surely playing KT as one of the two CBs with Robertson at LB would be the best solution for Scotland to get him in the team

Possibly but it takes away a lot good about his game. In a back two he'd have a lot less license to get forward as he did in a back three

Probably for the best with his injury issues that he isn't tasked with running up and down the pitch any longer, being part of a back two would suit him better at this point of his career

Depends on cover, really, i.e. having adequately defensive midfielders ahead of him, as well as Robertson on alert to track back. Train that at every training camp, and try it out in friendlies, etc, and I think it could work well enough against certain sides.

Otherwise, against teams we simply should be trying that with, he’s good enough to play as a conventional LCB, and just stay back and ping some quality long balls for the counter attack.

Who's our LB next season then? That's the number 1 position that has needed addressed for years. I'm not 100% on Tierney returning due to his injury concerns but if he's not coming back as a LB makes no sense at all.

Edit: just realised you are talking about Scotland selection
