My heart loves the idea but the head says no.

Too prone to injuries, he'll be targeted everytime he gets on the pitch. He'll just take up a squad place that could go to someone else.

I reckon it’ll be a free transfer. Arsenal will just want the wages off the books and it means we’d probably be able to pay KT a bit more in wages.

They have 5 LBs ahead of him in Kiwior, Zinchenko, Califiori, Timber and Tomiyasu.

The only way I'd take him now is if it was some old school pay as you play type deal..

He's physically * and always injured as a consequence. He'll definitely have long term spells out if we were to sign him..

He's cash rich. Made an absolute fortune and fair play to him but if Arsenal and KT come to a mutual termination/payoff, we sign him for free with a decent signing on fee.....then he's paid a good wage when fit and available..

Wouldn't touch him otherwise. Ideally just want us to go and sign someone who's a good fit and just fit in general..

Should do a Ledley King style deal with him, plays once a week and recuperates the rest of the time. Someone as good as KT shouldn’t need to train much and tactics wise left back hasn’t really changed that much especially if we play him in the similar style of Greg or Lustig did towards the end of his career

Get it done. Him in the team and no chance would we have lost 7-1. Simple. Then we get a young left back like we have just now, that's got potential to develop and replace him. He can cover during his small breaks if he has any and develop. As for money? I don't give a *. The interest payments on our stack of cash covers more than his wages.

Head says not to do this.
    Heart saya go for it.

Somewhere in the middle may be good.

If they're gonna let him go for free in January, sound a deal out and get him in.
We've two left backs at the club already, ease him back in and/or use the second half of the season to send him to a specialist and rehabilitation.
When Delia first came in, he sent Forrest away to a specialist then set him on a specialist training regime for a period, sorted out his niggling recurring injuries.
Not everyone and every injury will work the same way, but worth a punt while we could afford the time to do it.
Next season have him fit. Sign Vella if he's worth it (alternatively extend Taylor deal if he's still the better option).
Then we can go in to next season with as many fit and first team ready left backs as possible. It would sort that position out for time being and allow us to then focus on the CB option that we continue to neglect and * around with for * knows how many years.

We're paying McCarthy and Scott Bain thousands every week to sit on their arses, might as well take a chance on KT.

    No happening anyway....

KT himself said he wouldn’t come back to Celtic unless he’s 100% fit, him and club should ensure this, no room for sentiment with the wages he’ll command, don’t need another McCarthy on our books/injury room

He's obviously never going to be 100% fit again. Hasn't been that since before he left us and only reason he's still going is the care and money Arsenal invested in his recovery. Must be hard dealing with that when you are such a driven individual but coming back here will just shorten his career more quickly. Hope this is just rumours as it's a terrible idea for all parties, particularly Tierney.

If it was me who had to pay for him i would obviously don't risk it, but its Celtic. And Celtic can afford a risk as we have been penny pinching for years. Worst case scenario is that we will play our 2nd choice LB while he is out injured. A 2nd choice LB who i expect will be a upgrade on Taylor. Or if Taylor sign a new deal.

Is it always the hamstrings with Tierney ? I'm pretty sure Forrest was doing the same ,can't mind if he had an op or what he did to resolve his issues and turn the corner

Then why do people complain about the money we paid McCarthy or Jullien for that matter. Tierney could well end up in the same situation. He'll certainly miss significant game time and it won't be predictable which ones as we saw at the Euros.

Money should absolutely be spent on strengthening LB. Just not on Tierney.

I love Tierney but we're mental if we sign him. He just wasn't ever cut out to play football regularly.

We'd be better off bringing back Joos Valgaeren

He spends 100+ days out a year every year. I assume that number is in season. That's only going to go up if he plays in Scotland.
