Shame for him as I love him to bits but it was clear he’d always break down. He’ll be lucky to play past 30.

    Feel bad for the boy

All makes sense now why he took that big arsenal contract....injuries have hampered him

I expect us to be linked with him until he inevitably signs permanently for Sociedad. He would be great though, brings experience, quality to the team and instantly would be our best player. I just can't see it happening now.

If he wants to come back to Scotland who is really going to be his match?. Us of course, depending on fees etc it's a no brainer, just don't play him every single * game.

The only club he'll come to in Scotland is us. I kinda think the "closer to home" part could mean northern English clubs, not any other Scottish clubs.

I'm assuming it's just a lazy link with nothing actually in it, but if it did happen it would have to be on a reasonable wage for it to be worthwhile for us, can't have a high earner whose fitness record now means it's unlikely they play the majority of games, we'd still need to sign another LB.

I think that ship has sailed. Newcastle have Livramento (who can use both feet), Burn and Hall all for that position.

Makes sense. Proper left back. Taylor a good spl left back to rotate those plastic pitches.

    If only.

Would be great if it happened, a real quality aggressive LB. I would absolutely love to see him back here. As others have said keep him off the plastic pitches and rotate with Taylor in the league as needed for a season to get him back to his best and see how things go from there.

Ah well, a bhoy can dream :)

The only chance this happens is if no one else wants him due to injuries. If we had signed him this season he would have missed more games than he was available for. No doubt he would bring some much needed quality when he’s available.

Given how Taylor has been this season I would probably take the gamble but I don’t see it practically happening.

If Newcastle are serious and are spending money on developing the best off pitch staff in terms of medical and general analysis. I'm sure they could find a way to build KT.

Otherwise coming back to a club like us is just going to crock him even more and force him into retirement before he's 30.
