I actually think this may be a goer now, years loan, back to form, no injuries, review it next year.

arsenal can pay half his wages.

    I'm technically "against" this move.

We won't pay his transfer fee, and it's a 50/50 shout that he'll spend half the season on the treatment table.

The LB situation, just like the DM, is one that has constantly plagued us year after year, especially in Europe .

This is the very definition of kicking the can down the street. It's lazy, high risk, and utterly reactive to HIS situation, not ours ie. The * want and need of a LB who won't get his * handed to him outside of Scotland.

Obviously the club have reverted to type, and are unwilling to finance an actual LB to dislodge Taylor.
So in that respect, if it's no LB, or KT... Welcome home son.

But it's far from ideal. Nowhere near it in fact.

He makes us instantly better and stronger..

Still, must be a bit of work to make a deal happen.

Kicking the can down the road.

Like that time we decided not too and bought ourself Jota? See, if they are good they * off in a year anyway. We don't have a down the road to kick a can at. Only what we can do each individual season now. This season and he will improve us into a chance of actually getting a point or two in Europe.

If they're good and * off, it further solidifies our reputation as a club that develops talent, not to mention the high fees of such transfers.

KT has been unofficially on the market for over a season now, with only one club registering an interest.

As I said, we won't pay the transfer fee, so we're looking at a loan, a high risk one given his injury history.

What do we do next season? Try to loan him again? Hope that Arsenal drop their fee by over 60 odd percent?

I'm not denying KTs value, I'm questioning the model under which he would join us. He's not our player, therefore offers no sell on value. He a cert to get injured under Rodgers, and it will be rinse and repeat come next summer, possibly even by winter if he gets layed off.

It's a nonsensical move for me.

Whilst I pretty much agree with everything you say, we aren’t in a position to knock back players of KT’s ability should they become available, even if it is very much a short term approach. It gives us another year to look for a long term solution and if he does miss a few games Taylor is an adequate back up.

I still can’t see it personally, financially it’s a huge outlay for us for a seasons worth of football but I’d absolutely love it to happen.

Their actions with him stinks to high heaven of trying to force him to take a wage cut out on loan

Frozen out or trying to force a move, either way I hope that clears the way for us to swoop in.

He’s not worth £25m anymore. Loan with an option to buy might not be out the question. We also have a 15% sell on do we not? That would be deducted from the fee to surely.

Offer them a loan to buy, £3 million loan fee then buy him for £8-10 million next year.

Normally don't give a you-know-what about the English league, but was rooting for Man City last year because of Arteta. So glad he didn't win the title and hope he never does.

I think Arsenal are afraid of him getting another knock which would scare off every interested team.

A permanent deal would be fine for Celtic. Provided it’s a reasonable deal for both parties. They’re never getting £25m for him. Absolutely no way.

At this stage they’ll be lucky to get £15m for him. Just give us him back for £10m and we will call off the 15% lads :BR1:

Makes sense for both of him and us.

We can manage him for 30 good games a season and rotate wi Taylor. Absolutely no need to burn him.out playing 60 games.

Get a loan to buy sorted.
