Real Sociedad have asked Arsenal for the loan of Kieran Tierney.

Don't see that happening. Is he not apparently a bit homesick down in London? Can't imagine he fancies going to San Sebastien.

We can definitely compete with Real Sociedad.

    Ask the question Celtic.

Based on what? They have Champions League football too, plus higher salaries, higher transfer fees and a significantly higher standard of football (and living!) on offer.

The only reason we have any chance with Tierney is he’s a boyhood fan, but if he was that desperate to be back up the road then he wouldn’t have signed a new deal at Arsenal a couple of years ago.

KT is not coming back to Celtic, wish he’d sign for Sociedad just to end pointless rumours he’s coming back

Brendan Rodgers has refused to be drawn into speculation surrounding Kieran Tierney and insists he has nothing to add to it after being quizzed on whether he'd like to see him return to the club.

The Scotland defender is expected to leave Arsenal four years after leaving Celtic to head to the English Premier League in a £25m deal but he's struggled for game time at the Emirates over the last year. He was even behind right footed centre back Jurrien Timber for Sunday's Community Shield win over Manchester City, and he was criticised by Roy Keane for his part in Cole Palmer's opening goal when he did come on

Real Sociedad are believed to have made an attempt to sign him on loan but links to Celtic continue and he even admitted he would be keen to return to Celtic Park in the future. Newcastle have also been heavily linked with a move for him but there's been no real movement ahead of the return of the English Premier League.

But Rodgers wasn't keen on adding to any speculation around him and said: “I don’t speak on what ifs. There’s speculation around many players, naturally there’s an association with Kieran and his past here and our past together but there’s nothing to add to it.

Not even on the bench when Zichenko is injured.

Timber a right footed Centre back playing at left back. Tomiyasu has also played their ahead of him.

Absolutely no chance he should be 4th choice left back at a club like Arsenal.

Still think it's highly unlikely he'll end up back here but he really needs to get away from that clueless * arteta

I feel like I'm setting myself up for disappointment here, but what a signing he would be.

If Arsenal loan him back here for a year they will sell him for at least £20m next summer.

If it’s us or Sociedad that would be no contest for your typical footballer. But with KT I dunno…could we?

Never in favour of ‘going back’…..

But I’d have a one-off principles bypass for this one.

We are at least asking the question with regards to a loan? Surely to *. He broke my heart but I'm ready to be hurt again. Come home, KT, come home!

I think he would come back in a heartbeat but realistically even if he took a huge discount in wages it's the fee. Could we afford it? With the Jota money etc. We probably could but would be a stretch and with his injuries the board wouldn't touch it.

There's no potential sell on fee either as if he come back that would be him I reckon
