Considering the circumstances, he did very well. Hopefully he can kick on and get better.

Thought he done well to, never caused any problem defensively and he got forward 2/3 times with nice bit of movement and passing even got into their box once or twice.

You can tell he's still a boy though, he hasn't filled out yet so won't be capable of playing week in week out any time soon.

At the very least he has given Izzy something to think about. Lack of competition here has hurt us badly over the last few years.

Well done son. Showed some bottle tonight and a bit of promise to boot under difficult circumstances!:50::50::50:

I think Tierney proved himself better than Izzy tonight, his passes were a bit short but he was trying to read incisive positions and maybe his team mates should have came towards him reading it. Izzy is a force when he's on form but he is inclined to cross when he gets space rather than read the space others could move into.

Hopefully he can fire on to be our first choice LB. He looks more than capable.

He looked a bit nervous to me and a little afraid to try and beat a man out wide to swing in any deliveries.

That's all I can criticize about his performance. Brilliant stuff :50:

He played very well. Hardly put a wrong foot in all night. But didn't give us the same threat that Izzy can provide. When Emilio is on song, he adds a dimension to the game. Not asking that from this boy right now, but he's got a bit to go before he's challenging for a first team spot. I think he can potentially get there. Good performance.

Defensively solid- just what we needed. Quite composed for a kid. I want him starting in the SPL at least.

    Has the bhoy got asthma?

In the 1st half I spotted he kept coming over to the stand and getting something then a drink of water

He's not as good as Izzy yet, but we should rotate between the two. I think he'll be a fantastic player for us. Great technique and not afraid to tackle either. His crossing wasn't great last night, but I've seen him do some great crosses in the past so he's got it in his locker

Thought he got beat time and time again and didn't look impressive at all. Probably get slaughtered for saying that about a youth player, but I'd say the same if it was Izzaguire or Blackett putting in that performance.
