I’d rather have £25 mill in the bank than an injury prone left back, don’t care how much of a fan favourite he is/was.

He’d be absolutely no use to us. £25 million is huge.

 

Personally, I still like him a lot. Always will probably. I don’t watch Arsenal games or anything but hope he does well.

As it turns out, we got the better end of the deal. He’s barely kicked a ball since he left and if we had kept him, his value would be significantly less right now.

 

It was pretty obvious to all of us that things weren't looking great for him moving forward..

We definitely got a very very good deal when it's all weighed up..

He may eventually overcome all of his injury/hip issues but it really wasn't a gamble that either party could afford to take..

I don't have any hate for him at all....although was a wee bit sore initially after he'd left..

 

He better than arsenal tbf, injures aside. So he’d get snapped up by an EPL club. If he stayed/stays injury free he’d easily be top 4. Clubs or LBs in EPL.
Still a massive Celtic fan despite what he done.

Played decent today and heard he was good before he went off midweek. All he needed was a run of games and he’s getting that and will show his quality more and more each week.

 

Some are raving about him.

 

Listened to the radio broadcast of today's game and he was one of the very few that seemed to get a pass mark from the commentators in what was a pretty substandard game, generally speaking.

 

Being watching a few of the recent games,take out the crowds and the buid up by sky and the standard of these games is poor.

I know scots football is not of a great standard but after watching those last few english games im begining to think (the big teams aside) that the difference in quality is not much.

As for Kt today i thought he was ok,nothing outstanding.

 

Not sure why fans hate KT, no reason for us to have a 25 mil injured player playing for us at LB. I’m sure it wasn’t just him behind the move so worked out well for us all? Sure he’ll do great down there too and has got good reviews each game he’s played like we’d expect. Dembele left too for less and in a worse way and is loved by everyone haha

 

I don’t hate KT. I just have no interest in following his career. He seems to have this weird, cult like following. People will literally put down Celtic or the league so they can defend him and it actually drives me insane. The difference with Dembele was, he never preached he wanted to stay forever, be a one club man like KT did. Plus, in my opinion, you don’t leave Celtic before 10 in a row if you’re a Celtic fan. He literally jumped at the first chance he got. The love in for Dembele comes from Rodgers leaving and him putting up tweets/Instagram stories with regards to the manner in which he left. 99% of us despise Rodgers and probably realised we unfairly treated Dembele for him leaving. Either way, I don’t care about Dembele either really.

 

I’m in agreement with your views for both, don’t hate either player and understand we have to sell our best players. whether that’s their choice or the boards it doesn’t really matter cos they’re gone anyway and we usually end up with a good deal. No way where we keeping KT for 2 more seasons from when we sold him though, if he wasn’t Scottish and instead a French player everyone would of expected him to be gone sooner haha

 

I still have a lot of time for KT, wish him well and miss him in a hooped shirt.

Maybe when he's made his fortune, won a few trophies and realises what he's missing we'll see him back one day!

 

I still like him, I'm not sure he had much choice in the move and left so Celtic could rebuild. He was still a big part of 9 in a row and the treble treble. Scotland have missed him massively as he could play in any position across the back line.

 

Did the board not put in their statement that they wanted him to stay but Tierney wanted the move?

 

Yeah he did want to go. I don’t have anything against someone who wants to leave to a bigger and better quality league, but don’t give us the one club man patter. He obviously believes in his own ability and wanted to test himself at a higher level and get even better. I don’t think it would take that much to stand out in thr Arsenal team so if he can do that he might get a move again, and maybe somewhere where he can get back to collecting medals.

 

I wanted to hate him so much after he left. But I just can’t bring masel to it.
