Aye but I'd be surprised if *-nil didn't insist the original fee be deducted from any future transfer fee, given we have stung a few of them now with sell on clauses tbh.
(It's what I would be doing and if these clubs have not wised up to that yet they really are morons).

I asked my carer but I had to factor in a % for human error that his response would be incorrect. Then as he is black, I had to change the pre-set parameters in order to include him in the analysis or decide to keep him in and exclude him from the outcomes.

I chose the latter which confirmed your original comment is true. On reflection it was surprisingly easy to do.

We could really do with changing that colour scheme on our sponsor board thing behind Lenny

Exactly. The whole point of Lennoxtown is to bring our own talent through and KT is a perfect example. It’s gutting when one of out best players leave but that’s the nature of the business. He’s not the first and he certainly won’t be the last.

Like I said a month ago, Celtic were always selling for anything 20+ with good add ons. Hope he gets fit and isn’t called a snake by clueless fans, he could definitely make it in England.

Haven't said anything about Tierney, up until now.

First thing's first, he's gone. That's the end of it.

We've got £25m+ for a 22 year old who was injured and out of form for pretty much all of last season.

Still though, hope the guy goes on to have a great future - not as if he has snaked us over or anything, but still now he's an EX-Celt. He means nothing to me now (not in a bad way, but I only care about Celtic players).

So good luck Kieran, but adios.

Another thing - take away the over inflation of players in world fitba for us to have received £25m+ for an academy graduate is exceptional business and it shows that we really need to continue bringing through our own players.

It's also a great reflection that we now hold the record - as such - for the highest fee paid for a Scottish player.

Aye, being able to cut out the middle man (Southampton, Lyon) and sell a player straight to a top team is a game changer.

Even more so that he’s an academy player.

The Board tried really hard tae keep KT, that's why they put a 25 mil price tag on his heid. :84:

When that kind of money is on the table, the decision is already made for the player, a reminder that Celtic FC is a business as well as a football club.

Put it this way, was only a couple/few years ago we were losing our best players for just over £10m - starting with the sale of Aiden McGeady at £9m, we lost Forster/Wanyama/Van Dijk for £12m, now we are selling our players for over £20m recently Dembele to Lyon and now Tierney for £25m+

Aye, it's still nowhere near the valuation I personally think we should be accepting, considering the state of over-inflated prices of players in fitba these days, but still it's getting better for us now, it's our job to replace these players now with guys of quality - us signing Jullien for £7m and Edouard for £9m is a good start on our behalf - we need to use our funds to bring in at least 2 quality players before the end of this transfer window.

I hate to say it, but we're now lacking in quality in some positions this year, and the * from across the city are looking stronger (regardless of whether people want to accept that or not). This season is make or break for the league, and as it stands right now I'm not quite worried about our chances of winning the league, but I'm slightly concerned unless we make another couple/few really decent signings.

We better see that * 25 million for new signings or the board can * off.
