    2 assists.

Heard before that some people don't rate him as an attacking fullback....:56:

The media are absolutely desperate to knock this guy down.

A bad bounce doesn't even constitute a mistake. Brilliant all day today and we'll score plenty off his cut backs.

The goal was a mistake from him but Walker was spot on, it's the first thing we've seen him do remotely wrong and his reaction after it was fantastic, which is what you want to see from a young player.

Man of the match by miles for me.

Easily the best player on the park, was putting them under all sorts of pressure on the front foot today.

It's scary how good he is already. A bona fide star in the making, and I don't say that lightly because I've seen too many what could have beens from our youth set up.

This lad has the it factor though.

Whoever gives McDonald 5 yards of space in our box is more at fault IMO.

Regardless he was a dynamo on the left today.

How good is he at that cut back? I've been crying out for us to use that more often when we get to the byline.

I love it. Always lifts his head up and tries the cut back if it's on.

I think/hope Rogic when he plays will make more of them. He gets it into the sort of areas Rogic is brilliant at scoring from.

The 2 goals he set up as well, he pulled another 2 back the exact same way im sure that Griffiths miskicked both. Could have had 4 assists with really all the exact same move.

Totally agree mate, Matthews used to do it as well, don't aimlessly throw it into midgets, pick out a ball and get it in low.

He does it amazingly though, he barely even looks before doing it, just knows where they are.

Let himself down for their goal, but he was excellent for us again. He is getting better and better going forward, and his tackling is becoming a real hallmark of his game. He's aggressive, but not dirty.

He is a proper old school Celtic full-back.

Good comparison, there. Injuries really curtailed Matthews burst of speed. Hope Tierney has better luck.

He was caught out with a bad bounce of the ball, but he has been an absolute star for us and is getting better each week. He can be forgiven the very odd excuse, as long as it's not next week.

Typical idiotic nonsense. They've been praising him lavishly and regularly. I assume you didn't read THOSE articles?

    Head up, cuts it back.

A less intelligent full back would throw that into the 6 yard box hoping to cause hassle for the goalkeeper.

Learn how to quote properly before calling someone an idiot.

Build them up and knock them down, that's the SMSM narrative. Particularly relating to Celtic players. Seen it too many times before.

KIERAN Tierney has already experienced success in the Glasgow derby at Hampden, having been part of the successful Celtic Development Squad which lifted the Youth Cup last season with an emphatic 5-2 victory in the final.
Now he’s looking forward to this Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers at the National Stadium. A similar result would obviously be welcome, but as long as Celtic book their place in the final, then the 18-year-old will be delighted.
“That was a great game for us. Aidan Nesbitt scored a hat-trick and hopefully it’s a similar result,” Tierney said. “Every one of our players knows what it means. There is a lot of stake. It’s a semi-final and we need to go and do the job.”
When the sides met in the League Cup semi-final last season, Tierney was recovering from a broken leg he suffered at the turn of the year, but determined not to miss the match, travelled with the Wishaw Emerald Celtic Supporters’ Club to the game, which the Hoops won 2-0 thanks to goals from Leigh Griffiths and Kris Commons.
Now, just over 12 months later, he could be on the pitch and playing his part in trying to help Celtic reach the Scottish Cup final
“It’s been an incredible year,” he said. “If you’d spoken to me at the semi-final last year, I’d never have thought I’d be in contention to play in a semi-final this year.
“I was at the League Cup semi-final last year. I didn’t get a ticket through the club, I went with my supporters’ bus. It was during the time when I was out with a broken leg but I still wanted to go. I just patched my crutches.
“I know what the atmosphere will be like. It’s a great game to be involved in and hopefully, I play. I will do my best to adapt to the game because it’s kind of a different atmosphere to any other match. Everybody knows that and it’s just down to us as players.
“It will be a hard game no matter who we are playing. Any team that gets to a semi-final deserves to be there. “
