Unless the board is wanting him out, I'd say listen stay for the 10, ready to do 9, if we fail then fine your off and we'll not be hard to negotiate with and if we get 10, same.

He is only young and still has time on his hands, unless his injury is more sinister.

Scott Brown never attracted the kind of attention Tierney does, so it's an entirely different situation. Rumours of interst from a 2008 Spurs or Newcastle is completely different than 3 separate £15mil+ bids from one of the highest wage-paying clubs in global football. It just isn't the same.

All I'm saying bud, he's a baby, why wouldn't you stay a couple of years with the club you have loved your whole life and become an absolute legend....some things are purer than money but our fans seem to accept quite happily ach hes being offered a fortune good luck.

All the chest beating * seems a bit ....hmmm...incongruent.

But as I have said several times it's not fashionable to question the boy.

Ps edited and I would like to take the chest beating comment back, I'm not questioning his love for the club.

It is cliché, but no player is bigger than the club. I support Celtic, and, as I said above, the club has just begun a potentially historic campaign, and needs everyone to be pulling in the same direction.

I want Tierney to stay, but if he wants to leave, my only concern is how the club can replace him before the end of this transfer window. We would have no time to mourn his departure.

We have needed a competent left-back to deputise for Tierney for a while now, and Church has been unable to step up to the plate.

If Tierney were to leave, we would need to sign another high-quality left-back to compete with Bolingoli because even if Bolingoli were to prove to be an adequate replacement for Tierney, we would then be in the same position that we were in at the beginning of this transfer window.

I think he's been great TBH. The Scottish MSM must have trying so hard to get him to say stuff, how many times have they tricked young boys into just one careless comment that they can blow up into a headline?

He signed a long contract and refused to "leak" anything that would undermine our negotiating position. It seems he wants the chance to prove himself at one if the biggest clubs in the English league, but is willing to stay rather than see us get shafted.

    He's definitely one of us.

As to whether it's the right time, I also hope he waits 2 more years; but far too many of us on here seem to have got the bizarre idea that we know what's best for him better than he and his family do. The boy has acted properly throughout this process; stay or go, he's one of us.

Reports in the news are saying Arsenal have agreed an €80 million fee for Lille winger Pepe.

If they have that money, which we all know they have then * bleed them dry and ask for 35 million. I would take 30 million up front 15% sell on fee and then some realistic add ons or they can get tae *!

Apparently the will be paying 72 million, but in installments over five years.

I'd except 45m in £15m yearly installments. Would mean for 3 season we are safe from lawell selling our players.

Hopefully that will end Arsenal interest in KT if they are paying out that money on the Lille winger .

I'm sure NL will have a massive say in those proceedings and I.m believe he will persuade KT to stay, at least for the next two years.

The CL is where NL and PL want to be (maybe for different reasons), and to do that you need players like KT in the squad.

Plain and simply because there are absolutely no guarantees the interest will still be there in two years. There's no way we can expect him to stay for the love of the club when Arsenal are offering to triple his wages and probably offering him a slab of money as a signing on fee.

They have now changed their tune to not saying what their budget is, so they wont have teams encouraged to outbid them.

14.4 million a season, not too shabby, still getting top dollar for him, plus he is never worth 72 million quid.

They are being forced to pay over the odds but offering us * for KT.

Or they can cry wolf and say oh look we don’t have much money can you please take this!

They are * loaded, stadium is paid off and they made * tones of money in player sales for more than 10 years.

Honestly folks, anyone that thinks they'll strictly adhere to that 45 mil budget they keep shouting about then they need their head read. 25 mil is at least 10 too low based on similar and current market and I'm being generous at that.typicsl lowballing tactics. We should know.
