The term hernia is misleading to alot of ppl.

It isnt the joe bloggs hernia where the intestines pushes through the abdomen...

This is a sporting hernia, where the tendins and ligaments attached to the thigh are damaged, and in extreme cases detach.

KT has a double * hernia. And YES.. it IS career threatening. Maybe not in the sense that hes unable to play but certainly in the sense that his movement is depleted to the point of rendering him ineffective.

Put it this way. Hes been linked with all these "big" moves to the epl... at this moment in time, right now, he would certainly fail a medical.

Playing him is utterly disgraceful.

Technically, every time an organ is out of place its hernia. The word is used for vastly different things and this is where confusion comes from.

If it wasnt that serious he wouldnt need an operation. Operations are costly, risky and never done other than by necessity. To use a player needing an operation in key games is not unheard of. But using it at what are essentially dead rubbers, sometimes against vastly inferior opposition such as Livingston, to the point you know the guy will have to be subbed out anyway is insane.

So important that we sign a decent LB this window. KT is the main man however his performances of late have been a shadow of his best 90% due to injury. We need to add a good LB to cover KT when he is injured or needs a rest but also to keep pushing him forward.

 

No question Tierney has been way over played the past few seasons and that for me is why he is where he is fitness wise. This summer I expect there to be a lot of players going out the exit door including Izzy. For me though I am ok with us not signing a left back as Hayes can play there and do a decent job as cover. We just actually have to play him in some games there and actually giver Tierney breaks.

 

I was thinking that as well. Who knows maybe we sign Roberts on an actual 4 year deal this summer. I live in hope if not reality on that one.
