£10m due to the shortfall of the UCL.

Do these * not realise we don't need to sell ANYONE to cover the lost revenue, we have over £30m sitting in the bank and it is not a pre-requisite we run at a profit every year and even if we did we have until 30th June 2019 to sell players to get them in this years accounts!

In reality we actually had about £37.5million in cash, as that in Net Cash in Bank meaning they take off what we owe banks which was like £6.6million.

To put that into Perspective 6 years before we had £10.65million in the bank at the same time and our bank debt was £10.7million. So we actually had MINUS £0.1k compared to then having +£30.9m

So we had 26m in the bank and weve just lost out on around about 20m this year, so will be a much smaller number when the figures are released next year. Shows how important the CL money is to us.

If we were to miss out 2 or 3 years in a row we would be forced to downsize/sell top asset.

That amount of £30.9m will have no doubt increased by the time the final accounts was done which we should find out in around 1 months time.

There is loss of around £15m from previous CL season which can be absorbed or as you say covered by selling a top asset we have until 30th June 2019 to get that into the accounts.

Not really, we are in the best financia shape by far any Scottish club has ever been.

This is how we look now compared to 5 years ago for example...

Notice how we used to have £0 really and we actually in a position of debt now we are in aposition of rolling in plenty of money.

We have really built ourselves into a position where we could do our usual spending £9-12million a season on players without having to worry about anything.

Before then either we had to sell to buy or we had to make the CL to buy, now we don't really need to do either as we have enough cash to have 4 bad years in a row without it affecting us.

We are in a great position with a safe business model, no doubt about it, Lawell has done good business. Also got the billionaire owner. But losing the CL money still very significant.

The Europa league cash has increased quite considerably aswell. IF we qualify we will make between 2.3/2.5mil for the co-officient ranking alone, money for group wins/draws etc has also increased so all in all with ticket money included we should stand to make around 14/15mil. I think the club have said before that they budget for the Europa groups so can't see us losing much or anything at all. HH

CL money doesnt really affect us that much.

We are set up to break even no matter what, the EL or CL qualification is only a bonus to us.

We have accumulated so much money as we won't change our position, a lot of fans want us to gamble with our money but really if we spend £15million more than we normally do and increase the wagebill by £5million a season then we are out of control then we put ourselves in a position of needing to reach the Europa League Group Stage or we will lose money or need to sell.

Instead with that £30million we can spend the same but we can increase the wagebill by £3million a season for 10 seasons. We slowly trickle in the money remaining financially secure no matter what.

In isolation Eddie as @ILoveTheCeltic said we can go a few years without it.

Since BR came in ST sales are high and sponsorship is at an all time high as is EL group stage cash
