Stories in the media linking moussa and tierney away so when the window shuts and they stay we can say well at least we kept our best players but gave no money to manager to strenghthen the team.

They are both quality interest would be genuine ..

But aye a bit early to be on the boards back after securing Rogic and Edouard so swiftly.

That's one of the reasons 'buy out/release clauses' can be popular the player is forced to negotiate if the release fee is reached.. could still say no tho but gets them to the table..

The short answer is, he stays. Afterwards, it depends on the situation and what plans the team had for the guy. When the team really want to sell they take revenge on the player, drop him to the bench, take him out of the squad, make the environment as poisonous as possible to force him out when the next bid comes. This happens quite a lot. Not so often to a star player who is a fan since he was a kid like Tierney, but if they are trying to persuade him to leave, who knows. "You will end up like John Kennedy" is already something he didnt deserve to hear

Well whether you count it or not matters not, we've spent a reported £10m on Edouard you better believe that counts...

aye but technically we have spent less than £1m if the fee upfront for Eddie was £9m then we recouped £8.3m of that Selling Armstrong and Svitachenko - add into that the solidarity fee for Janko moving to porto and development fees for the youngsters who have left its probably down to £500k - £600k spent Nett since window opened, the accounts to year end 30/06/2018 should show over £40m Cash at bank plus £7m overdraft unless we have cleared off the long term debt to the co-op, which we wont know until the accounts come out in September as that debt is due in June 2019.

Thank *, I thought we had spent 9 million on him.
Looks like me & dev are wrong.
In fact if we sell someone else for 2 million does that mean we got him + a million from PSG ?

He will always go one day. He is the best Scottish player in * knows how long and the best Celtic player since Henke. He has the chance to move on and win the champions league as nd the Premier league, I expect him gone staying 3 seasons maximum. The most he will ever earn here is 30k a week.
I expect him to go for 30m.

If the opening bid is 25, i can only see that amount rising, especially if a bidding war ensues.

Not the way it works. We’ve spent the money regardless of the net spend.

Eddie’s confidence will suffer if he thinks we only paid 1 million for him. ntcham & kouassi will be taking the *.

Everton are a big club, I don't know why people in this thread are pretending otherwise, and they could be a good move for him. I think the club know though that if he keeps developing well and with the way the market is going we could get more for him further down the line.

Everton may be a quite big club , but Tierney needs to play in a team that are expected to win every week such as Atletico or a Man Utd maybe then you could understand interest but not Everton.
