He is living his dream playing for Celtic and will hopefully be doing it for many years to come,a big player for Celtic at a young age still learning and can only get better

REGARDLESS of having wrapped up the title, the champions will be determined to maintain their dominance until the final ball of the season has been kicked, starting with tonight’s Glasgow derby with Partick Thistle at Celtic Park.

Injury deprived Kieran Tierney of the opportunity to face the Maryhill side earlier this season and he was in the stands at Firhill in December when the Bhoys cruised to a 4-1 victory.

“It was good to be fair,” he told tonight's official match programme. “That was actually the night the ‘Scotty Sinclair Song’ started! I remember it as I was near the boys who started it and it has obviously continued. I did enjoy going to midweek games again as a Celtic fan but hopefully I will be on the pitch this time.

“Thistle are a good team and the gaffer came out and said they were the one of the best teams we had played against so far. There is never an easy game, especially for us, as every team that plays us turns it up a level and that’s what we need to deal with and hopefully we can tonight with a full house at Celtic Park.

"We will play the same way and stick to our game-plan and hopefully on the night we can get a few goals. Even though the league is won, it’s pride as well, so nothing is different.

"I don’t think we will ever be less motivated as we are all professional players and you don’t go out there and try only 80 per cent. With the team we have, everyone always tries at 100 per cent. We want to win every game and not concede goals.”

 

I see Broony's endorsed him to be the next captain when he hangs up his boots eventually.

Obvious choice imo, and it doesn't matter that he's 19 when he has maturity of 30 year old.

 

I cant see tierney leaving now that rodgers has signed a new contract he would want to hold on to him

 

I watched an interview of someone no long back and I can't for the life of me remember exactly who it was (Epl I think) but they slated being thrown in as a captain at 19 as well and having to carry the burden at a young age....especially when thing's go sour..

He is without doubt captain material in the future but I'd prefer to let the 'boy' just concentrate on his football and express himself..

Was at the game and must hav been wiped out 3 or 4 times in the second half alone . Class player and so nice to see a true fan living the dream

 

Was down to his touch, took a lot of heavy touches giving their defender a chance to jump in, was always winning it but aye the ref let too many of them away with it, same with Forrest he got wiped out a few times.
