agree. he is a weak link in our team and i mean this with no disrespect to him as a player or person but i really hope he is sold in the summer.

it cant be as bad as what your smoking. his pace is crap and he is useless when we dont have the ball.

I assure you what i smoke allows me to identify both strengths and weaknesses. He has defensive drawbacks, positioning and tracking is definitely his biggest problem, he will improve on it im sure.

He is not slow, and he is not useless when we don't have the ball, just because he doesn't always go right in for the challenge doesn't mean he's not harrying and chasing, i have seen him do it in all the matches he plays in.

I like to support Celtic players rather than constantly berate them. Not once in this thread have i made him out to be a superstar, all i am doing is trying to argue against his detractors, that makes me appear as some sort of Ki lover, i do like him as a player but i realise he has his strengths as well as his weaknesses. In my opinion his strengths far outweigh his apparent weaknesses.

He is the slowest central midfielder at the club and how you can't see that is beyond me. Ledley, Kayal, Brown, McGeouch, and Wanyama all have quite a bit more pace than Ki. He is right up there with big dan for slowest player at the club.

Being slower than someone else does not make you slow.

Think we play better as a unit without Ki. I think he slows our play down too much, granted that is needed sometimes, but he appears very one paced. I like my midfield to have a bit of variation and dig, personally think he has none. He is a talented player, but a luxury we could do without. If we get offered in the region of £3 mil they should take it. Kayal and Wanyama are streets ahead. Again only my opinion.

He said that somewhere? If there is a link available, I'd much appreciate it, as it would clear up reasons of Ki's defensive inadequacies.

Watch his behaviour on the touchline, he expects all of our players to put a tackle in. Tackling is not Ki's problem, tracking runners and his position defensively is the problem.

His positioning is most exposed during counters. He has received cards for desperate stops of counterattacks that ended up in late tackles.

I like him and i hope he gets even better. I can agree with some that he doesnt tackle much but he has good passing and longshots

Anyone who claims he's scared of tackling obviously learns everything they know about celtic from discussions round the office water-cooler. He's put in some absolutely hideous tackles in 50-50's.

As has already been mentioned, he struggles with tracking runners, but this cannot be attributed to laziness. Defensive naivety is Ki's greatest problem.

I don't think we, as a club operating in the SPL, are in a position to discard a player with Ki's level of technical ability due to a lack of defensive awareness. The coaching staff will be working on these flaws in his game and I would be very surprised if Ki is sold during the summer. Fortunately our manager, unlike plenty of posters on here, knows a player when he sees one.

Niavety is the best word for him at the moment.
