Fifa ratings don't matter one bit, European teams are never ranked as high as they should be and Asian/African/North American teams are rated far to highly because they only play the * teams in their confederations during qualifying. For example the US were ranked in the top 15 until recently and its highly debatable if they are better than Scotland. Also in the last few competetive fixtures Bannan has started for Scotland and has been one of the best players.

 

Im not talking about the FIFA rankings they are a very good team and Bannan wouldnt get near it.

South Korea imo would beat good calibre European teams like Russia, Serbia, Sweden etc

South Korea would horse Scotland with ease 3 or 4 nil.

 

More willing to play for the Jersey? How do you know that? Can you speak Korean? do you know what he thinks? what he says to the media?

If Ki was behind these other 4 mid players, why is there not a line of EPL teams looking to take them off our hands for 6 million?

I cant believe people are on trying to give him * and he aint played in a few matches never mind having a bad game or anything.


You are behind the team? well the team and management are behind Ki, so surely you should be too.

Ripping into a player that has done nothing wrong is just plain silly and clearly you have an agenda.

 

Half of South Korea's team is made up of home based players. Don't talk nonsense, 3 or 4 nil.

Not only is he part of a team that Bannan would not get a look into, he is considered their MVP and best player now.

S Korea constantly prove themselves the best team in the far east and often beat teams above them in rankings from europe.

Ki is considered the heart and soul of the team.

 

The South Korean league is of a far superior quality to that of the SPL.

If both teams were to meet at a neural location, it would be a very 1 sided match and the score sheet would resemble it.

 

And why is this ? Because there are 4 players ahead of him. 4 players who aren't hiding when things get tough.

I believe you have a cheek to suggest I have an agenda against Ki when he can do no wrong in your eyes. I knew when I made a negative comment about Ki you would be the one piping up because you clearly believe he can do nothing wrong.

 

They would easily, have you seen them playing? they are a very technical team with high workrate and good pace, they would easily beat Scotland.

Ki doesnt suit the SPL no doubt about it but ive said a few times before on here he is the best player in Scotland who will play at the highest level in future.

He is technically the best player in Scotland at the moment, he has not played just to him being fatiqued and having been scanned for brain issues.

Not because he is a bad player.

And i back up anyone that is extremely talented. I have no affinity or special effection for him or korea, I just call it as I see it. As an international football lover.

Agenda - Yes you must. For what other reason would you have a go at someone that's done nothing wrong? Do you want your club to sell its most talented players?

 

I don't doubt he is one of the most technically gifted players in Scotland, not for one second. However so was Jiri Jarosik, so was Eyal Berkovic. He plays in a position where you MUST do the dirty work. If he was in a free role behind a striker then fair enough, but he isn't good enough (I'm not saying he never will be) to start building our whole team around.

 

personally i thind bannan might very well be able to get a game for south korea. I think hes a better player than ki, he is quite a tricky dribbler who can play wide or behind a striker and can also play the deep lying playmaker role. Bannan was also scotlands best player in the last couple of qualifying games outplaying adam in the center midfield positions and playing with a gash on his foot that was glued together. He only wasnt called up for the recent friendly because of a drink driving offense but hes now back to playing in the Epl so hopefully hes put that behind him. You cant always judge a player from his national team appearances for example forrest has been our best player this season but is not a regular for scotland. Up until recently bannan had been in a similar position due to the fact he was just breaking into the team but i think we will see him as a scotland regular from this point forward.

 

So the most technically gifted player, by your own admittion is not good enought to build around. Aye thats right, lets build around Brown, because he knows how to get a red card.

Football has moved away from the flat 442 and anti football tactics, for Celtic to progress as a club, they need to keep players like Ki, plain and simple.

Ki, Chung Yong and Park are all well well ahead of him. He's too weak and slow and hit and miss. For me Bannan is like a poor mans McFadden but he'll probably get better he would do a ok job for us in the SPL but has to get quite a bit better for Premiership level.

 

I think Bannan would play for s. Korea, they are a very mediocre team who are overrated because of the confederation they play in. I also think Scotland are a very similar level of team. Korea clearly aren't better than Australia and Japan so calling them the best team in the far east is laughable.

 

Fellaini is a massive donkey who can neither score goals nor stop his own team conceding them, how Everton were duped into paying 10 million for him ill never know. Bannan looks a promising talent but he has not ever had a real consistent run of games at either international level nor an average EPL side.

I think far too many fans forget his age, 22 years old, won't peak for another 6 years at least.

Cabaye is 25 going on 26 3/4 years older than Ki.
The other players you mentioned there as well are all generally older than Ki.

 

if you are calling Bannan slow and weak what does that make Ki, Ki is quite a bit slower and weaker than Bannan. Also how do you think Bannan is a poor man's McFadden, he was starting for villa before the drink driving charges and is playing ahead of McFadden for Scotland. If Bannan came here he would be fantastic, great dribbler and passer and he's a celtic fan so he would give his all every time he pulled on the shirt.

 

I would say South Korea were the best Asian team and are also better than Ireland and Wales too imo and both them would beat Scotland.

 

Ki is not slow and is never anywhere near slower or weaker than Bannan

 

Im sorry but thats just ridiculous Ki is over 6ft and Bannan is 5ft7, Bannan is skillful and quick but he is not stronger than Ki.
