It's difficult to compare as they're 2 very different style of players.
But I'd say he's on par with Petrov right now. But I'd also point out Petrov has had to go through a lot to get where he is with Aston Villa right now.
Naka left us and stepped straight into Espanyol and looks the part.

South Korean starlet Ki Sung-yong has revealed he rejected an offer from Portsmouth in favour of a move to Celtic.

The FC Seoul midfielder agreed terms with Celtic last week and is due to link up with his new team-mates in January at the end of the K-League season.
Although it is a dream of Ki's to play in The Premier League, the 20 year-old feels he is too young for England and believes Celtic to be a better option at this point of his career.
"There was an offer from a Premier League club, Portsmouth, but I think that Celtic are a better club and I think that I am not good enough to play in the Premier League yet," he said.
"I will get more experience in Scotland and then see what happens. First, I have to adapt to a new life.
"I think that Celtic are a good club for me because first of all, Celtic are a great club.
"I think I will get a lot of chances to play and this is important for me because I need to play ahead of the World Cup[IMG] next year.

I agree that Nakamura is the better footballer, but Petrov is one of the SPL's top goalscorers of all time...

Was it 80 odd league goals he has for us? Was maybe 90 odds. But thats league goals alone.

Not a bad return from a midfielder if you ask me! :icon_mrgreen:

Aye. Most players nowadays would rather have went down to Portsmouth, sit on the bench and pick up and extra 5-10K a week. This lad seems different though, Naka's maybe had a word with him :D

Well wee Landry will be off to the ANC in January so he's got a great chance to step right into the midfield.

Petrov was 55 goals in 228 games while Nakamura was 29 goals in 128 games, only a small decrease for Nakamura in terms of goals to games ratio.

I'm not fussed if he gives us 2/3 good season and then wants too move on . We'll make a tidy profit no doubt.
