He's certainly not been drifting out of games down there, he's the only one who is controlling games for Sunderland.

People go daft about Ki, either highly overrating him or highly underrating him.

    It's daft.

Loved him when he was here and very happy to see him playing so well down south.

When Xavi retires... they can just get Ki.

Ok.... I might be going too far.

I always rated him. Had loads of potential but wasn't really suited here, especially with Broony the mainstay, Ledley the reliable, Wanyama and Kayal to an extent the ball winners.

Now that he's getting games regularly he's starting to flourish and I doubt he'll be at Sunderland permanent or Swansea.

No he wouldn't have. Ki was a passenger when he was with us.
Would rather have Kris Commons any day of the week over Ki.

If they played in the same position then you might have a point.

Swansea signed Jonjo Shelvey and loaned Ki out daft mistake in my opinion they've really struggled this season

I don't massively under rate him, he was 5th or 6th choose midfielder for us for a reason.

Like I said, a career of wee purple patches and nice touches with some cracking goals and absolutely nothing else. When the chips are down he is the last guy I would want playing for my team.

    Nowhere near good enough.

I reckon you do but each to their own, best game he put in in the Hoops was a massive 'chips down' match. 2-2 at Ibrox with 10 men.

I don't know why he's so hated. He was, at worst, a decent player. Played well at times and certainly wasn't a flop. Earned us £6m in the process. You'd think the guy was Du Wei.

He was the best player on the park by a mile that day. Totally ran the midfield.

ki is a far better player than people on here give him credit for he wasn't in our first team as technical CM's aren't what Lennon likes in terms of passing he was prob the best in our squad.

Why do you think he can't get a game for a relegation threatened team in England?

Nah, he wasn't in the team because he had better players infront of him. Anybody who wanted Wanyama dropped for him are off there nut.

It shouldn't be a choice between Wanyama or Ki. A midfield 5 of Wanyama, Ledley & Ki, with Brown right mid, and Commons left would have been superb I think.

He plays week in week out for a relegation threatened team in England Hammer.

What did you think of his performance that day by the way? Does that qualify as a chips being down moment for you?

That's ignoring Kayal who at that time was by far our best midfielder, up until McCulloch done him. Ledley, Brown, Wanyama and Kayal were all outperforming him, he still got his fair share of games and done quite well.

What we are seeing down in England just now is him filling the potential that we saw up here, he's growing into the player we thought he could be.

I wouldn't have broke up the Stooper combination upfront for him anyway while he was here. He was a decent player for us, didn't understand how to defend which he's worked on massively, with glimpses of brilliance.
