if we do sell for £10m then we will need to bring in another CM with his quality. otherwise 1 or 2 injuries and we could be in trouble.

If we were to get anywhere near £10m then it would be amazing. More likely to be half that at best.

I would trust Neil to be able to bring another midfielder with at least the same quality. He's brought in Commons, Ledley and Kayal for less than Ki cost us so that wouldnt be a concern for me.

    Sell.
Now is the perfect time to sell Ki. If he stays and goes on to have a stinker of a season his market value will plummet. There's no way anyone is going to offer £10m for a player who doesn't get regular first team start for us.Ki's current status in the squad is back up to Brown/Kayal/Ledley/Commons. That is not a ten million pound player in my book.£5M and you are on.

Ki is our 3rd choice midfielder and if he goes then we have Kayal,Ledley and Juarez as centre mids, assuming Broony is staying on the right wing,so then we would have to go out and buy 2 more centre mids and our main priorities should be a goalkeeper, then a striker, then another defender and before you know it,we are rebuilding all over again like last summer.

I rate Ki quite highly. I think him and Kayal in the middle would be our most talented pairing, although I think Ki is more suited to a three man midfield where he can be the playmaker behind the two main centre mids.

I hope we don't sell, and I don't think we will get £10 million for him considering he probably isn't first choice in our team when everybody is fit.

He done really well at the start of last season when Kayal and Brown were injured, and then he went off to that Asian Cup thing and looked a bit dodgy in a couple of the games he played after coming back from that, but overall he had a good season last season.

We really do have a very good midfield, it's the one area that doesn't need strengthened. I just hope we don't sell any of them.

Hardly. Lennon will be looking to bring in players through the close season. Wilson has been brought in for CB. We need another striker and keeper, and we would need another midfielder anyway.

Not quite the rebuilding job he had to do last season.

see, i dont think we should accept a £5-6m bid. with injuries and suspensions and what not, we will need to use ki at some point. he is our 3rd best CM, one of our better players. he has bags of talent and potential too.

id trust lennon too, just pointing out that we would HAVE to replace him with s good player.

If he stays then great, but realistically we arent going to get more than £5/6m at best for any of our players at the moment.

Also, we arent exactly rolling in cash. We are in debt and Lennon will have some restrictions on what he has to spend. If he felt that he could get £5m in for a player that isnt a first choice, he will look on that as a windfall. Potential is all well and fine, but not having won the league for 3 seasons, Lennon will not get the luxury of being allowed to realise that potential without the success of the league.

well then nobody is going to get our players. you have seen the prices that average players go for down in england? £35m for a tall man with a pony tail? if liverpool are willing to pay that much for a guy with very limited ability then they can cough the * up for our players.

we are in debt, but its manageable debt. lennon knows he needs to win the league, but nobody wins by selling their better players without replacing them with better ones.

I think your right. Pretty sure this is just a nothing story.

The debt is manageable, but that has to be tempered through buying and selling, hopefully at a profit. I dont think Ki is irreplaceable. If Kayal and Ledley are fit for all of next Season, chances are Ki will hardly get a game.

its unbelievable . before he went to the asian cup ki was our best player . has played well at ibrox , and for me is the most technically gifted midfielder in scotland . at 22 , he will get better aswell.

agree with you here. if kayal and ledley stay fit then ki will be making sub appearances all season long, ki isnt as good as either of them. but chances are one of them will be injured for a few weeks and thats when ki comes in. plus its good to be able to rotate players if they are tired or have a niggling injury, plus the fact that ki is lingering about will force kayal and ledley to play to their best.

the debt is at a level where if we win the league and get to the group stages of the EL then it will almost disappear. we shouldnt be worrying about debt right now.

I would say Ki is better than Ledley, but Ledley gives us a better balance to the team so it's a choice between Ki and Kayal, and Kayal is certainly more suited to SPL football than Ki is and is overall a better player so he's going to get picked ahead of Ki.

Ledley has become that team player that is really a first pick, it has to be him and another.

I agree with you. Ki will be a good replacement to come in, but will be playing second fiddle all season, unless something drastic happens. And it will be a good idea to rotate players, though I dont think Lennon will rotate in the league as we got stung doing that after the Aberdeen game. Its more likely he will change for the cups.

Would be difficult to turn down a big fee for a player who is not going to be a regular. And the debt isnt massive, but it is going up, at some point it has to be addressed. Getting to the group stages of the CL is going to get harder and harder as the seasons pass.

Don't believe the premier league's hype. Most creative midfielder's would look like superstars in a free-role in a 3-man midfield in a team with a flagrant disregard for the defensive aspect of the game.

Adam is decent but Ki is much more talented and younger as well.

If the money's right, sure. He's a good player, but won't start if we have everyone fit, and can be a bit unreliable. He also needs to beef up a bit.

he could easily rotate in the league. i wouldnt slate lennon for playing ki instead of ledley/kayal when at home to teams like dunfermline. but on the whole i agree with your point.

obviously, if we get a large offer for any of our players then we will have to consider it. but it would have to be a large one. the debt has only come to be since we stopped winning the league, win and the debt will be cancelled out, every team has debt these days anyway.

Much as I agree that the EPL is the most hyped in the world. It still is a good league. Adams has went in and been sensational.

Bit of a naive statement to say that Ki is more talented and younger, yet doesnt get a start for us. It may be that our league doesnt suit Ki, as it clearly didnt Adam, but until Ki does it for us, let alone a club in a better league, he has still a lot to prove.
