Good response, you've thought it out pretty well. I have no real issue with Ki and if he stays then great. I dont think that he is ever going to displace Kayal or Ledley, other than through injury, or these players being rested.

As you said, it may be because he fits better into the Korean style of play than ours. Their style prob wouldnt work in the SPL and therein lies the difficulty. I am only really interested in our club at the moment. Not shirt sales in Asia, not potential in 3/4 years time and not a player who has some good touches. Now we have many players that are sitting on the bench but Ki is the one that we may make a profit on and I think the club would be remiss not to. CL money is not there, we are going to go further into debt this coming season no doubt. At some point the club needs to start selling. Whats so wrong with that? Most other big clubs sell good players. Doesnt make them any worse.

We need to win the title this year and if selling Ki gives us money to buy one or two quality players in other areas then great. I would rather have the £5/10m now to go for the title than have a player with potential and not win the league.

Are you so sure this board would actually use the money on quality signings though that is one of the large problems. Money brought in should go towards players that can ONLY replace and are better than ones currently in the first team, we need quality now not quantity and the recent record of the board of not buying quality when we needed it, is in fans minds when we sell players because the question always is are they really going to spend the money on someone thats better than what we currently have.

I think that argument will be irrelevant in a season or two as our debt is only going one way and the board will do what they did when O'Neill left and start cutting back. No, Im not sure the board would sanction the funds, however, Lennon seems capable of playing the game with them and I think he would put pressure on the board to do this.

Ki is a player that we wouldnt miss if we got a good fee for him. To say otherwise is wrong. He has been here 18months now and isnt a regular, and unlikely to become one.

If he stays and proves me wrong then great, if not , lets make a profit on him now. What is it with Ki that some fans cant see past him? I honestly dont get it. I know he is a good passer etc, but he hasnt set the heather alight here.

He could be our McGeady this season.

Good player & worth money to other clubs, but most likely quite easily replaced.

Sell him for £7millionsish & bring in the big guy from Kenya + bring through a couple of Celtic kids.

Use the funds to fund improved contracts for Kayal, Ledley & re-new Brown's + bring in "Quality" CB, GK & St.

Makes sense to me, I like Ki & I liked McGeady too.

Why Ledley? He is already one of our highest earners.

Ki is a CAM when we played 5 mids against the huns at ibrox in febuary he was immense and a MOTM canidate, when we play in europe with 5 mids he will be very helpfull, and for the moment he i behind ledley and kayal yes, but look how much our mid changed last season, Ki was first choice with good reason before he went to the asian cup, ledley and kayal were gelling when he got back so playing time was scarce, but we should sell brown a long time before we sell Ki, especially since that nigerian kid plays RM their is no need for the headless chicken to occupy RM anymore

I would sell Brown if the offer came in. But the post is about Ki. Against the Huns it was a great team performance that day. I am not concerned about a half dozen games in europe as we need to win the title first. I know what your saying, but we are getting ahead of ourselves a bit.

Ki was first choice till Xmas, but if we look back objectively, it was only after he left and Kayal came in that we looked strong enough to mount a challenge.

Your also harsh on Brown, he has had a decent season and RM suits him, and the club at the moment. Though if an offer comes in? Same as Ki, we could replace him.

What Nigerian kid? You mean the Kenyan who has never played right mid in his life, who we haven't even signed? For some reason you think Ki can play right mid too. Neither of them can.

You forget kemo ledley was part of that midfield with Ki and he was the weak link in that midfield not Ki.

    Ledley, Brown, Kayal, commons

No place for KI imo. Good player but would probably prosper in a league where the pace is slower.

Should keep him unless a very good offer comes in - I like the fact we have strength in depth in midfield - Ki is a very good footballer, especially to use in rotation.

    And when one gets injured/suspended?
Ki is a good player who improved greatly as the season progressed, and by the looks of it from last season Lenny likes a slight rotation to keep players fresh

If any of the guys mentioned are benched for any meaningful time they will want away. We are celtic...we cant expect to demand £5-£10m for players but see them as rotational players.....big players won't accept that in Scotland.

Ki is 22 and one of our most talented prospects, why sell him, he has loads of promise in him and has shown how good he can be, he is a much better player than brown who is inconsistant at best

He was very much part of the weak link in the Christmas period; without Kayal or Brown in the middle it just isn't defensive enough.

Ledley is an absolute brilliant foil for the two work horses who like to get about the midfield. However Ki and him occupy the same spaces too much when they are played together, no slight on either player but they aren't suited playing together.

Kayal + Ledley is the best option.
Kayal + Brown very hardworking but not as effective.
    Kayal + Ki is good
    Brown + Ki is good
    Ledley + Brown is good
Ledley + Ki however is too weak in midfield.

It's all about partnerships and I wouldn't be afraid of Ki playing if the unfortunate was to happen and somebody had to break a leg.

I can't wait to see in Europe next year a five man midfield of Kayal, Ki and Ledley. I think with that midfield it is our best chance in years to be able to control a game away from home.

I hope to * Ki doesn't go but if a crazy offer comes in we can't knock it back. He is going to be * quality however.
