Ki is a Liability

Erm, the thread's about Ki Zander, not the rest of the team

 

He was playing well before he went to the Asia Cup but I agree we play better without him the kayal/ledley pairing is our best in the middle

 

Kayal and Ki for me

 

He just shouldn't have been playing in the middle today, we should have had Brown in there with his fighting spirit and had Forrest on the right.

 

Fair doo's mate. I agree about Stokes

 

It says it all that Lennon has not tried this combination.

Ki is the 4th choice CM, and if you ask me he is lucky to be that.

 

obviously, but my point is relevent to ki in terms of folk are basically blaming ki for previous games, not taking into accoun the other players, cause he wasnt our worst midfielder today, or in any game we didnt win before christmas

The belief that probably motivates the original poster and certain others is that every midfielder should be a great tackler. If they want that in everyone, then of course Ki won't be their favorite. Those who see the benefits of having a dedicated passer in the team, a person with a cool head, and creativity to boot, will find Ki a good player to have. As much as I like Kayal(I believe he was sorely missed today), I also believe Ki is a very good player who could do wonders with a butcher next to him, and deserves his game time. And, let's not forget, the pitch today was not supportive of a clean passing game.

 

he was our best player in before he left for asian cup, we have lost one game there are still alot of points out there. you cannot blame ki for what happened today, we win as a team and we loose as a team

 

Yes he was the worst midfielder today, and this was proved by him being the only midfielder hooked.

There are people, like me, who do not rate Ki and and do not think he was the best midfielder before he left....are we not entitled to our opinion?

 

Well if that's the case Leone, then Marc Crosas would be a revelation here.

But the hard truth is that Scottish football is as much a physical game as anything, especially away from Celtic Park, and i your not able to play with the hard tacklers and give back as much as you get, you will be found out.

 

presumably brown is your third pick but let me be the one to point out that in the little we've seen of brown in the middle this season he was dreadful. his success this year has been from the right only.

but you've clearly got it in for ki, who has had a very good season.. so well just let u get on with the bleating, misplaced as it is....

Ledley and Kayal is by far and away the best midfield partnership in Scotland.

 

Right now, yes Brown is MY third choice midfielder....but the only opinion that matters is Lennon's, who would also appear to favour these 3 before Ki.

No, i've not got it in for Ki..I don't rate him...or do we all have to conform to your opinions Mmmikey, misplaced as they are..:bbpd:

 

the sad thing is to win games in the spl you have got to be able to tackle, especially away from home on tight scabby pitches, ki is a crackin player no doubt, but he is a luxury player, not a starter at these games, at cp its a different story

 

Marc has been good, in the games he's played in. I think his performances here could be marked as good. At least. Maybe it's because I believe in the existence of strict roles in football, that I actively defend Ki. Because Kayal has the personality and energy to do the * part. I do think that Ledley and Ki cannot play in the middle, alone. Ki has to have a ˝Lubo˝ role, IMO.
