He played in a very poor wolves team. He's not a 1 man team!

Bangura has shown little to nothing.

That's John Park's findings now Lennon's. Lennon's not done overly well he has bought players that he's known about.

We wanted rid of Hooper and Wanyama. There's more reason than one that you want to get rid of a player

    Kyogo. A phenomenon

I largely do as well Devski - and for the most part, the signings since he started as manager have been a success.

Doyle, however, is screaming out to me in a painful fashion - it's like someone is putting an ice pick on my left *, while whacking the other one with a tyre iron......a feeling reminiscent of when Murphy joined, if I am being brutally honest.

Personal thoughts are that he would be a very expensive signing in terms of wage, and little in terms of goals.

15-20 a season from him would, I think, be a success for the guy....but we need more than that.

But we wanted them gone for other reasons - £££££

Doyle is a free agent i hope? otherwise we would be a laughing stock to pay for him.

I trust Lennon and I would take Doyle if we got another good striker in but I don't want him as Hoopers replacement, I would rather keep Hooper and loose him for 0 than replace him with Doyle.

At 21 Hooper played for a very poor Scunthorpe team and still managed to score/set up goals.

Doyle on the other hand went over 3 months without a single goal or assist between 2nd Dec and 16th March despite starting all but 3 games.

Hooper and Ledley & Stokes where all brought to the club around the same time as Murphy. It's debatable if he was ever going to be considered first choice. It's easy enough to say that Murphy was a flop but we still need to consider why we bought him and when we did. He was trying to rebuild a team that was butchered under Mowbray and Fortune was considered first team material.

One bad singing doesn't mean you can't be trusted as manager. Does he need to take us to another European final before we let him get on with it.

Although i think he may score goals up here,I really don't want Doyle.

I see it as a backwards step and us showing very little ambition. The guys scoring record is pretty poor, there will be no re sale value and he is almost 30. I really don't see what he can add to our team in order for us to progress, added to the fact he is nowhere near the quality of Hooper, and once you also consider the money we have raked in this past year, it would be very disappointing.

Irish Daily Star rekons this is pretty much a done deal.
Now assuming that is true i have mixed feelings.
If Doyle can get back to form of 2 seasons ago we have a very good player, if not we are in trouble.

Lennons decisions won't be swayed by anyone at times and his stubbornness annoys alot if fans , like ambrose playing against juventus , normally we are linked with a player and all sorts of other clubs want them aswell , it's alarming that we are the only club in for him hahaha, this has to be up there with your murphy etc. I saw Peter lawell at Celtic park the other day and my mate asked him how well he expected the 17.5m bank statements from hooper and wanyama to play ,creased :smiley-laughing002:

I have some strange feeling that he will tear up SPL. He's good player, but his confidence is ruined imo (I think that's the reason why he was * last year). If we haven't brought Balde in I would gladly take Doyle, but signing Doyle now is just stupid unless Watt goes on loan or Stokes leaves.

I hope that Lenny, John Park and co keep it cool and work away in the background to get us the best players possible. It is not easy to get high class players as they might want to stay in their own leagues and not move to Scotland. Doyle is a hard worker who gives 100% and in a team not facing relegation might recover the form of the past. I still hope he can try to get the Latvian or the boy from France. We have money, and the club should invest it, the Champions League is vital for us.
