    Doesn't exactly fit our style of play though, does he? He's slow and lacking in mobility.

    I'd rather have Stooper up front together or 5 in the midfield, any day of the week.

    32 league goals in 5 seasons in the EPL. That is an average of 6 or so goals a season. 34 too. Would be madness to give him more than an 18 month contract.

    I'd take him but on an 18 month contract. He holds the ball up well and wins lots of free kicks around the edge of the box. He's not as mobile as he was but he does have a presence.

    The most likely target mentioned so far............be glad when this f'kin transfer window shuts though and we can get on with football!

    One of the best target men in britian atm.

    Experienced, offers something different and would be up for a cold night game and Murderwell. Just what we need imo. 18month deal on <25k a week and where talking imo. He will want a medal to show for his time in the game an a european appearance would be nice for him as well.

    Ideally yes. Unfortunately football, much like life, is never as simple as that. There are times we will need a different option. He fits the bill perfectly.

    I find this laughable from the biggest supporter of the worst goalscoring box to box midfielder in SPL history.

    He doesn't need to score a shitload, that's why we have 2 prolific forwards on our books just now.

    Not only is a professional EPL forward, he is * * hot at what he does. Ask any pundit in the whole of Britain what they think of him.

    Was Robson a dirty *? Is Brown? You need a physical edge, especially in our league and against our opponents.

    We lack experience big time. When guys like Kris Commons are deemed your 'experienced' players you know something is wrong there.

    34 is also not the same 34 as it was even 15 years ago. These guys are treated like well oiled machines daily and are now peaking well into their 30's.

    Honestly think his wage would be too big for us ,he is looking for a 18month deal at least from reports i have seen , i also think he has a young family so would maybe rather stay in England with them settled.

    Jason Roberts could be a option with him and Blackburn at war over his contract .
