True , very tough question this , in the spl boyd because this league suits poachers and keanes not a poacher, in the epl keane because down south you have to do more than just sit in the box , plus the defenders down there would find boyd * easy to mark. Actually i dont know a * lol OK i voted keane because you just cant drop keane for boyd it would be wrong even rangers would take keane over boyd if they had a chance

I would take Keane any day of the week. One because he has clearly shown he can score a lot of goals and most importantly beacuse of his all around ability to link with midfield, create opportunities and beat players 1v1. He is by far a better all round player.

Good question but what does Boyd have on his CV?

if the two of them were going for same job interview, you would put keano as the front runner everyday of the week according to his CV, as for Boyd well you send him back to the job centre

    Hard one to be honest.

Of course Keane is far superior overall.

It really depends which type of partner they are playing with, Keane scores after a few chances and sets up many chances, Boyd offers nothing in terms of build up but one chance is all it usually takes.

Really Keane needs someone like Boyd beside him and Boyd relies on someone like Keane beside him to assist.

I went for depends on the oppostion.

They would make a good pairing. keano is intelligent, mobile and a good team player but Boyd looks much more a successful poacher. I love watching a player like Keane with his movement but Keanes goals to one on one ratio is not that of a natural goals machine, more of a one in four man than a one in two. Poachers are a rare breed and we sold our only one in the window. Skippy was off form a bit too much but he was a true goal scorer and tended to do it in the hardest games too.

keano, better pace work rate and speed, and can score against big teams has proved down in the EPL unlike boyd who only scores against the smaller teams

Why do we not make a bid for Boyd in the summer? Bury all that baggage and think purely in football terms. Would not be the first time a Rangers supporter became a huge player for us.

Its actually weird how poor as all round footballers the real poachers and goals machines often are. Even in kids football I noticed that the guys who score for fun are the less talented players. I think the more talented and intelligent players think about it too much and try to place shots. Poachers know that simply hitting it early any old way often is harder for the keeper to react to. I had a mate at schools level who made me look like Maradona in terms of skill. technique and vision but he was a goals machine and I just didnt have the magical knack.

If you compare them as footballers keane is 10 times the player boyd is. But as a finisher boyd is a far better finsiher than keane. Also boyd gets very few chances during a rangers game and i think had he played for us he would score far more than he does for rangers.

Robbie keane has only won the league cup in his career where boyd has won rangers the league last year with his goals and the four domestic trophies were mainly down to him. As i said keane a far better player but if i had to pick one to score more gals it would be boyd. The fat * is barely back and has three goals in three games.

Keane is an out and out international goal scorer...Boyd don't even have a passport.

We have Rasmussen who's like Boyd, and Keane needs that kind of a partner. Keane needs 1 on 1 situations, he is not that good in penalty box skirmishes. That's why poachers are there.
